In keeping with Paideia tradition, a few weeks ago we wrapped up our summer programming with the celebratory talent show and feast that mark the end of Living Greek in Greece–which included a breathtaking dance performance by our 2024 Brightheart Fellow, Emily Gunter!

Inspired by the course's theme of "Helen of Sparta", Emily's choreography "investigates the opposition and balance of several parallelisms in Helen’s story: strength//weakness, truth//lies, love//loss, innocence//guilt, and choice//fate. The concept of parallelisms was initially inspired by the rhetorical use of parallel phrasing in Gorgias’s Encomium of Helen."
