Freedom Rising: NYC
We invite people to take specific action, not just in word, but also in deed, to address and improve the worsening plight of the African American male.
We invite people to take specific action, not just in word, but also in deed, to address and improve the worsening plight of the African-American male in any of the five specified cities (New York, NY, Baltimore, MD, Charlotte, NC, Cleveland, OH, Pittsburgh, PA) as a pilot initiative pointing toward future and further nationwide intervention. Micah 6:8, with its power words to 'Do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with your God,' calls us to action and not only in proclamation.
NYU Law School present a virtual teach-in to educate on bystander intervention and de-escalation, an abolitionist practice for dealing with harm or potential harm in your community without involving the police.
November 30th - 6:30-8-30pm
