In particular, we'll discuss how and when Arts uses can be classified as Community Facilities, and why it can be advantageous to structure not only a building project, but potentially organizational aspects of an arts practice within that framework. The class will conclude with a comparison of Adaptive Reuse and new development community-facility white-boxes, and the implications of those models from a tenant/owner perspective. Presentation will be given by Karim Ahmed, principal of REFORM Architecture.
