Latina Life Coach specializing in the anxieties of life. Mental Health Advocate & Philanthropist
Life Coach specializing in Anxiety, Breakups, and Job Advancements
There are always options. No matter what happened in the past you can always change your future. In life sometimes the universe steps in and helps moves you forward. We of course don’t know it’s good for us at the time, and go kicking & screaming. But then there are other times that we choose to show up differently. Either way we are exactly where we’re meant to be ~ It’s never too late!
Happy World Gratitude Day 🙏🏽 I want to thank everyone who has held our family in your prayers. I try to practice gratitude on the daily, however this year by far was the toughest one yet on my mental health & one I’ll never forget because of the people who showed up.
However you spend today, send love to those who have helped you over the past brutal 18 months some of which have felt unrelenting.
Your experience and knowledge is valuable, never let someone tell you differently. When I became a life coach in 2006 no one knew what that term even meant. We didn’t have Instagram, nor the many wellness platforms we have today. I was told countless times to give up on this dream of mine, to become a doctor or a lawyer.
What I wanted was to become a life coach, it called to me, and so here I am 14 years later. I fought hard for my practice, for my skill set.
I knew my calling, and I know my worth. Creating positive change in someone’s life is what fulfills me.
If you want it, go after it. Everyone has an opinion, but everyone isn’t YOU! Stay committed to your goals, keep moving forward.
Ohhhh love … it’s messy, beautiful and complicated all at the same time. We all have heart history, without love where would we be?
Go easy on yourself if you’re trying to navigate complicated love at the moment. First take care of YOU! Then ask yourself some deep rooted questions - to you and only you then wait for yourself to respond.
It takes time & patience but you deserve that. May your 🖤 always lead you home.
Collective healing for the world, that’s where we’re at. If it feels all too heavy it’s because it is. Take care of your mental health and be proactive about it! Let’s not wait another month or until things are less chaotic, the time is always now to care for yourself. Let’s lead with an open heart & compassion.
Anxiety is at an all time high, amongst other things. It’s ok to not be ok.
These were the thoughts that constantly ran through my head as a girl into my early adulthood. These thoughts kept me in the wrong relationships, the wrong mind frame and certainly kept me from being the powerful woman I knew I could be.
If your an anxious person this probably sounds all too familiar, and that’s ok. It’s ok to be high functioning, and stuck in fear at the same time. This is one of the many topics I’ve been coaching on lately.
Tomorrow night my best friend is throwing Charlie and I a party celebrating our LOVE. As many during Pandemic Charlie and I had to cancel our wedding 5 minutes before walking down the aisle on March 14, 2020 in Guatemala.
Melis always said she will not let this be our story. Not only has she planned all of this, but she has graciously took care of everything on what we would have had on our wedding day.
Melis has taught me that receiving is just as important as giving. I now understand the importance receiving plays in all relationships.
I want to thank my girl tribe! There are so many but seriously from the bottom of my Guatemalan heart thank you for getting me though one of the worst years of my life. Not only are we celebrating our love but LIFE in general. Long live Coconut Buddha ✨
Also, big thanks to for hosting us before the party!
It took 5 days for me to reset, and a beautiful wedding ceremony to bring me to tears. All we really have moments.
Moments with our loved ones
Moments with friends
Moments with ourselves

I heard one of the most beautiful vows ever last night. We attended the wedding of two beautiful humans who have been partners for over 27 years. Not only have they been LGBTQ activists for decades, but now they can be seen as a married couple. My heart is full thank you for including us on this epic day.
I’ve slept listening to the sounds of the ocean. I’ve meditated with a group of lovely humans. I haven’t opened my computer once. Mom and Coconut are recovering beautifully. Life is good ya’ll - Moment to moment
I absolutely love this!

Back in my NYC … checking out my husbands new acting studio space located in its new Chelsea location.
As many business owners did Pandemic shut down Charlie’s Acting Studio, however, he pivoted went online. Now this fall he’ll be back in a brand NEW STUDIO!
I’m in love with the space. It will the home for his actors, and for his creative outlet. Having a communal space to feel togetherness is essential in life. I’m so proud of Charlie, this space, and the team who stayed with him no matter what!
S/O to the Team!
The gift - I asked my soul sista .s.riva for her energy healer, and man did she deliver.
Your body will guide you to the right people, learn too trust your gut. My body and emotions felt stuck. I had been holding onto all this fear that consumed my mind & body. The energy healer was able to ground me back to my soul - BACK TO ME.
My work is to reset. My work is to stay present in the NOW. I needed help in clearing the trauma my body has endured.
It will take a few days to recalibrate fully, but I hear my heart saying thank you. Today Coconut Buddha told me he wanted to keep his heart clean. I know exactly what he’s talking about.
You never know who’s going to walk into your life or why. These two beautiful humans guided me through one of the toughest experiences of my life.
Martin is the architect who designed my parents house. In the year and half that it took, we became friends. Then I met his wife Andrea, and it was one of those instant connections. Now this connection has become one of family.
They guided me on doctors, hospitals, but more importantly they held space for me. They showed up to help interpret when I sat in that little hospital window. They held me as I cried tears of joy that my Dad was going to survive!
Martin & Andrea on behalf of the entire Barillas Family - THANK YOU may we forever be family.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve said this to my sister and best friends. I felt as though I was letting my family down by not being strong enough. Mental illness doesn’t take a break when sh*t hits the fan. Instead it’s like an open invitation to come in and wreak havoc.
I openly discuss that I’m on anti-anxiety meds, and I’m so grateful that I made that decision way back when. Since I also suffer from Panic Disorder I needed to take added meds to get myself grounded and calm when it was just me caring for both my sick parents.
It’s ok to feel like you can’t do it. Have your feelings! What I can recommend is sharing what you’re going through with even one trusted person so that you have support. My tribe stayed on the phone with me, walked me through my fears, and listen to me cry when I didn’t know what to do.
Here I am, having made it through the other side because I asked for help. You will be surprised who shows up!
The people who saved our beloved Coconut Buddha. My father Don Marco Antonio Barillas is finally HOME. The doctors said he is a living miracle, given his age and extensive lung damage.
It’s been 30 days of hell but we made it through. We made it through because I truly believe swift action, and collective prayer saved my Fathers Life. Coconut’s recovery will be long with all the unknowns, but we are living moment to moment.
IG Family, friends, familia THANK YOU for holding my family in your hearts. I’ve never in my life have felt more supported by collective energy. The human connection is such a beautiful power force.
I want to thank all the doctors and nurses who got us to other side.

My Squish bug made this for Granddaddy. Lells has a very special bond with him, they would speak every week. She made this for him to tell the kooties to go away. She’s a talented young m (she’s get’s it from her Momma).
I can’t express my gratitude for all the love & prayer we’re receiving. Coconut Buddha has touched so many lives. I thank each and every one of you for holding space for us. Trust me when I say I feel it!
Santa Rosalia is the Saint of Pandemics. If your loved one if battling COVID please send me their names so I can add them to our ofrenda.
Collective healing ✨ I don’t know this woman, but I know her pain. She was outside her loved ones window at the COVID ward crying saying her prayers. I’m not sure how it happened, but I dropped everything, held her, and joined in prayer. We don’t speak the same language, but we connected spiritually. I held space for her until she found her breath.
I carry a special rock in my bag for the past 20 years. I took it and gave it to her as she needed something to place her grief into. My special rock is now doing its work. The look she gave me was of one of gratitude and shared suffering.
You don’t need to know someone to hold space for them. You don’t even need to speak the same language as LOVE IS UNIVERSAL ❤️.
Compassion is the most beautiful gift you can give to others. My Mom took this pic and shared it with me when we got home. I’m sharing it because it’s powerful to help others, let’s always share in human connection.
I hold space for this woman and her loved one. Sending love and light to all those battling COVID, to those who have lost loved ones to this relentless virus.
To anyone who needs to borrow my healing mantra. Energetic healing can be done at anytime at any place. When I wasn’t at my Dads bedside this is what came to me. Now as I sit with him through these days I say it over and over in my head, one hand to my heart and the other palm open over his window.
We have a saint called Santa Rosalia in our house. She is the saint of Pandemics. If you or your loved one is battling COVID or needs extra prayer for any reason please list their name below and I will add them to our ofrenda.
I believe in universal love, I believe in the power of manifestation. You’re not alone we are here for each other.
This is where I spend 6 hours a day, by my Dad’s bedside through a window in a COVID ward. He was admitted earlier this week to give him a fighting chance to survive. He is in the #1 hospital in Guatemala with top specialists. He is expected to make a full recovery, which will be a very slow process.
COVID is ripping through countries. This Pandemic is FAR from over. I’ve seen more heartbreak then I could have ever imagined.
I surround myself with white light, clearing mantras and the help of my spiritual tribe and sister .
COVID is unrelenting, it’s turns on you real quick. As I’ve said before quick and swift action is your best chance of survival.
Guatemala’s hospitals are over capacity, there aren’t enough doctors. If you aren’t financially secure your life is on the line.
Please be careful. Be responsible each and every day with your health and the health of others.
Mom is doing great! Thank you for all the messages, prayers and ofrendas. Coconut Buddha will once again be back in his garden once more ✨ now we just wait.
I hold space & prayer for:
• Don Marco Antonio Barillas
• Rosemary de Ponce
• Regina Batres
When hair mimics life ⚡️Not gonna lie it took lots of coconut oil and hairspray to tame this today. I am back in my body finally, here’s my self care plan for the week. Open to hear any recos’s that have helped you guys get grounded!
*The Guates are in recovery doing better every day. Life is good.
Body / Soul Care :
- Acupuncture
- Vitamins
- Essential Oils
- Soaking baths
- H20 overload
- Walks with Wally
- MWH Flows
- Glosslab Nails
- Realistic daily to-do list
- Scalp Massage with my brush
- Sound meditation before bed
- Roll out neck and back on roller
The outpouring of love for my family is so damn heartwarming! Thank you all who had the Guates in their prayers, thoughts and everyone who has reached out. Coconut Buddha has always been a great presence on my IG cuz he loves a good photo opp and teaching his ways ;)
Mom is still in recovery and doing well. Dad’s doctor says he is significantly improving with the antiviral we tracked down and bought.
I’m back in NY to wire them money for all of the costs, and because my physical and mental health was on a rapid decline. Removing myself from the situation helped bring in the right people who are trained properly. Caring for two elderly people over the age of 70 with COVID in a 3rd world country is no easy feat.
Even though I’m vaccinated I wore proper PPE as soon as Mom tested + to reduce chances of me becoming infected. Once Dad tested + the house had to become sterile with no cross contamination which is exhausting.
I have no doubt that without the financial means my parents have this would be a very different post. My Dad is alive today because he could afford this level of care. Unfortunately for the majority of people living in 3rd world countries this isn’t an option.
I’ve lost a dear Uncle and Aunt to COVID already. This virus turns on you quick so acting fast is your greatest chance of survival.
My learning in all of this which I’ll discuss more is knowing when to step back. Leaving my parents was one of the hardest things I did because I knew there was a chance I might never see them again. If I didn’t leave the nurses wouldn’t have stepped in and caught Dad on his decline.
Energy is communal, sometimes removing ourselves helps everyone restore their own balance. Coconut Buddha will continue to be a fixture on my IG and im so happy I can continue to share him :)
As my sister tells me on the regular “Little Feet” that has been my mantra - little by little we get there.
Wishing my partner in life a beautiful belated birthday. Although it wasn’t the ideal day, we managed to still be together. I can’t wait to properly celebrate you Pepito. Loving you came easy, especially in a world that can be so hard. Thank you Pupper for caring for me & my loved ones during one of the the most difficult times of our life.
Taking a little hiatus from social media for a few days. See ya’ll on the flip side ✨
Today, June 24th is the start of SELF CARE MONTH. Self care isn’t about anything fancy, it’s about YOU! What makes you feel good? Are you taking care of yourself in mind, body and spirit?
Tonight is also a Strawberry Moon 🌙 so hold tight if anxiety has been at an all time high, if you’re feeling super emotional. Full Moons affects everyone differently, so try to bob up and down with the energetic waves.
Don’t forget to bathe your crystals or even yourself in the beauty of the moonlight.

We have all been victims to our own self talk. Whether you’re struggling with love, career or mental health we must do better with the relationship to ourselves.
*Personal Note:
Last night I awoke to a cosmic size panic attack. I took action, went through all the tools in my anxiety toolbox and calmed myself down. I promised myself that in the morning I would not beat myself up. I spoke kindly & reminded myself that I’m an anxious person. I won’t win over Anxiety all the time, but 9 out of 10x I’ve got this!
3GS is based on community. I started this non-profit to help families, and children who are around our own community here in Guatemala. This year we found this beautiful family who are using their Mom’s broken iPhone to do homework. Three boys under the age of 15 trying to learn on a tiny iPhone.
These boys have never owned a computer, nor does the public school they attend have any for the children to learn on.
3GS bought them a new computer which I hand delivered over the weekend. The boys were so excited! They all have excellent grades so we wanted to truly set them up for success.
Thank you to everyone who has donated to 3GS to make this moment possible. Next year we will have our wonderful event.
S/O to my board members & Momma B for bringing this family to my attention.
We got to celebrate 2 Father’s Day! Today we’re at Dad’s Finca his favorite place on earth. We rode horses, shot guns and I took a mud bath on the ATV. Reppin my fav cafe from NYC cuz I’m a city cowgirl!
Never forget the power of choice. Being down here in Guatemala I see how beautiful community is. Everyday our doorbell rings and it’s another tía dropping off some sort of delicious food (mainly tortillas).
We choose to cultivate relationships whether that’s with family, friends or co-workers. We as humans aren’t meant to be isolated or alone.
Here are some of my communities:
- Guate Familia (we roll deep FYI)
- Friends from HS & Adulthood
- Healing Tribe holistic / western
- Marquee Family
- Bacardi Family
- IG Connections
Ya’ll I’m dying over these adorable baby birds. As I’m working the garden with Coconut I hit a branch and 3 little naked bird heads pop up. Nature feeds my soul! Hope these little guys make your day.
