The XSL pigments, Orange DPP RA, PO 73 ( # 23178), Scarlet Red DPP EK, PR 255 ( # 23179), and a few others have been prilled to avoid dust formation. Prills are small beads, like in washing powders. XSL pigments dissolve immediately when in contact with water, other pigments must be ground to break up the granules, e.g. Bristol Yellows ( # 43101, # 43111, # 43131), Bismuth-Vanadate Yellow ( # 43910, # 43915, # 43918, # 43920) or Bone Black ( # 47100).

Prussian Blue (45202) and Vermillion (42000) are back in stock!
Around 1704, the paint maker Johann Jacob Diesbach from Berlin discovered how to produce a beautiful blue color from iron salts and cattle blood waste. Since then, this pigment has been marketed under a wide variety of names, such as Paris blue, Milori blue, Prussian blue or Berlin blue. The PB 27 pigment is suitable for all applications in pH-neutral binders. It cannot be processed in acids or alkalis or at higher temperatures.
Generally, the content of Vermilion is 99 % The method of measuring the content of Vermilion is by using effective liquid phase chromatography (HPLC) method to measure the content of Vermilion. The principal constituent of Vermilion is HgS. After the sample is dissolved, take two ethyl dithio-amino sodium formiate sodium formate (DEDTC) as the synergist, use again HPLC to carry on the separation measurement to the HgDEDTC preparation. The condition of chromatograph should be: Waters X-Terra the C18 column, (adjust pH take the methyl alcohol - 0.01 mol/L sodium hydrogen phosphate with phosphoric acid to 7.5) (including 0.01% (quality score) DEDTC) (comparison of volume to as 73:27) as the flowing, the speed of flow is 0.8 ml/min, the examination wave length is 270 nm, the column warm is 35 ℃. When the mass concentration of Hg2+ is 10.1 mg/L~100.9 mg/L, its density and the Hg-DEDTC preparation peak area will present good linear relations, the correlation coefficient is 0.9996. The average of return-ratio is 97.0%~100.8%, RSD is 1.8%~2.3%. (The above method of measuring the content of Vermilion is given in good faith but without obligation.)

The brilliant Cobalt Violet light is a PV 14 and contains cobalt. Depending on the temperature during production, the hue of cobalt phosphate varies from more reddish to more violet. This cobalt violet is the clearest available, transparent light violet. It is similar to our discontinued Cobalt Violet ( #45820), but the pigment is slightly more granular.
The pigment is suitable for watercolor, but should be used immediately after mixing the paint. Cobalt violet also works well in tempera and in almost all acrylic dispersions, except Dispersion K 9 ( #75367). We do not recommend this cobalt violet for oil paints due to its extremely slow drying.

This pigment prefers to be dispersed using a muller as the particles tend to clump and one must forcibly shear the particles. It is a stubborn pigment with a beautiful inner glow, confident, humble, but powerful.

Painting on our window display glass by … Julien used PVA mixed with titanium orange, nickel titanium yellow, and permanent green pigments. PVA is a strong, viscous binder when used undiluted, so it clings very well to the window. However, it’s easy to remove with a wet cloth, and doesn’t leave a trace on the glass.

Dear Customer,
If you recently placed an order with us, rest assured that we are working with great urgency to ship out what we have in stock. For products not in stock, we are diligently following up with emails to let you know why your order has not yet shipped.
Feel free to email us requesting the status of where your order is in queue. Online orders are being processed in the order in which they arrived, and therefore we treat every request with the utmost urgency - we are all exhibiting artists and understand the need to receive materials ASAP or the desire to deliver a Christmas gift on time. We have not been able to ever guarantee that we will be able to deliver before Christmas as the nature of what we sell is heavily scrutinized by U.S. Customs and unexpected delays do occur when importing products from Germany.
We enjoy speaking with you and would be glad to let you know the status of your order by phone as well. If you are having difficulties reaching us by phone right now, please understand that we are unable to get to all phone calls as we might be helping out another customer on the other line, assisting a customer in-store, or hustling to pack orders before the carrier picks up for the day.
The best way to reach us is by email. Please write as much detail in your inquiry as possible so we may help you most efficiently.
Please keep in mind that we will be close December 24th-January 2nd.....
