As of August 1, 2021, coop boards in Westchester County are required to notify prospective purchasers of the reason for the rejection of their application AND file with the Human Rights Commission. We suspect similar legislation will be coming soon to NYC.

Cooperative Housing Disclosure The Cooperative Housing Disclosure law goes into effect Aug. 1, 2021. Cooperative Boards must use the model form promulgated by the Human Rights Commission to inform applicants of their rejection.
