Over the next few weeks, we’ll share bits of conversations we have with perimenopausal women. While these stories and quotes delve into personal territory, we believe it’s important to let other women know that they’re not alone.

We made sure to get permission before sharing and to safeguard their privacy we’ve removed any details that could identify them. Let us know in the comments if this resonates with you ✨

There’s so much misinformation about hormone replacement therapy (HRT) floating around, so we decided to take it back to basics.

We’re committed to responsible HRT treatment. That means equipping women with accurate information, personalizing the course of treatment, and scheduling the appropriate follow-up visits. If your provider isn’t doing that, it may be time to rethink that relationship 👀

We believe that women gain from sharing and hearing each other’s experiences. This doesn’t substitute for professional medical advice, but in our experience, personal stories and anecdotes can provide context, support, and community.

So if you’re a woman in perimenopause (or nearing it), what questions do you have for women who are now in post-menopause? Are there experiences you’re curious about? Drop your questions (and answers) below👇🏾

On average, natural menopause typically occurs at the age of 51, but for many people, it can occur well before then. This week we’re exploring premature menopause, which occurs before age 40, and early menopause, which occurs before age 45. Several factors could cause the timing to shift up, including a family history, surgery to remove your uterus or ovaries, and chemotherapy.

Head to our blog to learn more about premature and early menopause.

Yes! We offer vaginal estrogen and hormone replacement therapy (HRT) which is the most effective treatment for hot flashes according to the North American Menopause Society.

But if you can’t take hormones or simply don’t want to, we have you covered. MenoPro clinicians can prescribe a range of non-hormonal solutions, including non-hormonal prescription medications and supplements.

If you prefer to steer clear of medications, our clinicians can also recommend lifestyle coaching and wellness therapies such as acupuncture and cognitive behavior therapy.

No person is the same, so you can expect us to take a personalized approach suited to your needs.

Did you know that there are actually three stages of menopause? 🤓 First, is perimenopause, where hormonal fluctuations can lead to hot flashes and irregular periods. It’s like a hormonal storm brewing, which may have you feeling a bit off balance.

Next, is menopause which is technically a point in time. You’ll hit this second stage when you haven’t had a period for twelve consecutive months.

The stage after menopause is post-menopause, which continues for the rest of your life. You might experience more hot flashes, night sweats, and other menopause-related symptoms for the first few years, but eventually, things should settle down.

Too often we’re expected to tough it out, to deal with it, to be the strong one in the room. Not with menopause.

If you’re dealing with menopause symptoms like hot flashes or vaginal dryness, hormone replacement therapy (HRT) can help. But if you can’t or don’t want to use hormones, there are other options to explore, like non-hormonal medicines, supplements, or lifestyle changes, including dietary adjustments. Don’t suffer in silence—there are plenty of ways to find relief.

Lean into your soft girl era and prioritize your mental and physical health. 🙏🏽

Despite its inevitability for half the population, menopause education in medicine often feels like a neglected chapter in the healthcare playbook. 📚 Lack of training means hormonal symptoms are too often misdiagnosed and undertreated by traditional providers.

But guess what? MenoPro knows menopause. We take menopause education seriously and are dedicated to helping patients find the relief they deserve. Because menopause deserves more than a footnote.

🚨PSA: Withdrawal isn’t a reliable contraceptive method during perimenopause unless you’re game for... pregnancy!

Pregnancy during perimenopause is still possible. In fact, 77% of pregnancies among women over age 40 are unintended - second only to the teenage pregnancy rate‼️So if adding to your squad isn’t on this year’s bucket list, it’s time to refresh your contraceptive plan.

Oprah gets it. Like so many, Oprah went to five different doctors seeking treatments for palpitations. One clinician put her on heart medication and gave her an angiogram, a scan that shows blood flow through arteries and fans. No one ever suggested that it could be menopause. It drives us crazy that this experience is so common. It shouldn’t take multiple doctor visits to understand the root cause of symptoms associated with midlife. At MenoPro, we look at your health holistically to offer the best perimenopause and menopause treatments. Because you deserve it.

Think you’re going through perimenopause? If you’re completely unsure - don’t worry - you’re not alone. Nearly half of women report not knowing the difference between perimenopause, the transitional period leading up to menopause, and menopause itself.

Lighter, heavier, or irregular cycles can be a sign of perimenopause, but rather than guess, consult with an expert MenoPro clinician.

As men age, they’re often hailed as distinguished, but what about women? Is there a parallel word?

The journey through perimenopause and menopause can be particularly challenging, especially in a culture fixated on youth and fertility as measures of worth. But we’re so much more than that. So this is a reminder that your story is rich, exceptional, and worth celebrating 👏🏾

Despite 78% of women acknowledging that menopause symptoms disrupt their lives, a staggering 73% of women aged 40-65 report not treating their symptoms.
