What happened in Israel on Saturday was not just another event in a series of many Middle East conflicts. It was a terrorist attack on civilians in their homes - innocent children, women, families. The attack was planned and executed to kill as many as possible and, what’s even more disturbing, to make a show out of it. None of this was to bring freedom to anyone. In Europe, we used to call these "pogroms". And it was the largest attack on Jewish civilians since the 1940s. This was a brutal, methodical extermination. Don’t look away, Don’t stay silent, don’t let this happen again…

📆 Happy Friday, everyone! As we head into the weekend, it's worth reflecting on the importance of timing in our work communication. Have you thought about the timing of your requests, questions, or follow-ups today?

⏰ If you want to get the best responses from your coworkers or team, it's crucial to consider their workload and state of mind when making requests. Sending an urgent request on a Friday afternoon, for example, might not be the most effective strategy.

🧠 Instead, take a few extra moments to analyze your colleagues' availability and receptiveness and schedule your requests at a time when they are likely to be most responsive. This not only increases your chances of getting the responses you need but also shows that you value and respect their time and expertise.

⌛ Remember, effective communication is not just about what you say but also when you say it. So, be mindful of your timing and start building stronger working relationships today.

When I was a little girl, on March 8th, my grandfather would present me with a flower and congratulate me on being a little woman. He would tell me that he knows that someday I will grow to be just like my mom and my grandmothers "strong and loving, building family bonds and helping others along the way." And while his words give me daily motivation, witnessing my mom and grandmother carry our family through immigration, struggles, and illness was the greatest lesson in what it means to be a woman. I often think back to my immigrant childhood with absolute amazement - how is it that with so little, my mom and grandmother made our life feel so abundant, happy, and beautiful?

Nowadays, I am taught daily by incredible friends and colleagues, each showing different pathways for expressing strength & growth through kindness & power in individual ways! Happy International Women's day to all the women in my life!

Recently, I had the difficult task of guiding a client through a difficult decision that she is dreading. She has to let go of something that she feels deeply connected to and has a deep history with, and it is a challenging but necessary move for the success of her business.

I wanted to give her some words of strength and courage, so I shared this quote from Eckhart Tolle: "Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on."

Letting go can be scary and uncomfortable, but sometimes it is absolutely necessary in order for us - both as individuals and business owners - to move forward. Recognising when this moment has arrived requires immense wisdom and courage, which my client demonstrated today.

So many of you tell me you either avoid conflict or tackle it with great tension. Try curiosity and positivity instead. And if you don’t know how - call me :)
