May we continue to serve our Borough of Brooklyn. 💙🤍🕊️
Delta Alpha Zeta attended the New York State Leadership Conference (NYSLC), held May 17th-18th at the Westchester Marriott in Tarrytown, NY. The theme? “Embracing the power of sisterhood.” We always look forward to being in community with our sisters, especially when this is the first IN PERSON NYS conference in a number of years. Thank you to everyone who made this conference possible! The 75th anniversary of Delta Alpha Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated holds profound significance within the context of the organization’s history and the broader cultural landscape. It symbolizes three-quarters of a century of sisterhood, service, and empowerment within the Black community and beyond.
As the larger organization was founded on the principles of service, scholarship, sisterhood, and finer womanhood, reaching this milestone represents a legacy of resilience, leadership, and impact. It’s an opportunity to honor the trailblazing women who established the chapter, as well as those who have carried its torch throughout the decades.
The Dazzling Sorors of DAZ are honored to be members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated and proud to be able to call Delta Alpha Zeta Chapter, “the house that Founder Watts built,” home 💙🕊️
Delta Alpha Zeta Chapter continues to celebrate Women’s HERstory month by watching clips from the movie: The Woman King. The virtual watch party was followed by an in-depth discussion tackling trauma, sisterhood and the ties that bind. As we embrace Women’s Empowerment month, we are appreciative of those who participated and shared transparently. We look back on our time experiencing the movie in person and reflect on the exceptional story of these West African women warriors who defended their country no matter the losses inflicted by their enemies. We are reminded you can lead from any corner in the room, where you start may not be where you end, and true Leadership is a verb, not a noun. 💙🤍👸🏿

Today, we honor and celebrate the birth of our Triumphant Founder, Fannie Pettie Watts. As Zeta women, we expand our footprint daily as a leading community-conscious, action-oriented organization affecting change.
It is because of the trailblazing forethought and determined ex*****on of an idea by five Howard University co-ed’s that Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, stands as one of the world’s most respected National Panhellenic Sororities today!
Help us wish our illustrious sister a heavenly “Happy Birthday”!
The Chapter that prays together….
Delta Alpha Zeta Chapter’s home church is Nazarene, but we know God can be praised in any location. We have been intentional, not only about communing with our Nazarene church family, but working to put God first. We were not only proud to welcome Brother Hezekiah Walker Hezekiah Walker as a new Fraternal member, but to be in the house of the Lord, listening to his words.

-The Devil is a liar
- Get ready for the next miracle
- Samuel was looking for the next King; the people petitioned
- So God said anoint Saul
- Samuel went to find Saul, he asked Saul where is the Seer? Saul said I am
- He hung w Saul all day but did not say a word
- Jealousy is a terrible thing
- Some of your “friends” know there’s something about you and they SABOTAGE
- They don’t mind you being next to or behind, but not in front
- The first shall be last and last shall be first
- Get in your rightful place
- Remember, if you have been anointed, that anointing is for YOU
- A liar shalll NOT TARRY in his kingdom

The Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated - Delta Alpha Zeta Chapter has raised scholarship funds for teenage girls in their senior year of High School for over 40 years. The fund was established as a means to offset some of the costs of college tuition. Each year the chapter reviews applicants and selects winners of the scholarship based on their academic achievement and community service. The award amount varies depending on funding.
Sarah E. Green Diamond was initiated into the Omicron Beta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated on June 28, 1958. After her college graduation, she transitioned into the Delta Alpha Zeta Chapter and at the same time started her teaching career. As the eldest active member of the chapter, she has been (and continues to be) an inspiration to all of its members. In celebration and in honor of Soror Diamond’s long standing contributions to the organization and chapter, the existing scholarship was renamed in her honor in 2016. Please join us in celebrating our eldest member and helping to give deserving young ladies funds to offset some of the costs associated with higher education.
Due to inclement weather conditions expected on September 30, 2023, our Scholarship Walk itself has been canceled, however, donations will be accepted until April 15, 2024. For donation submissions, please use the following link: https://app.99pledges.com/fund/deltaalpha
Happy Father’s Day to all of the fathers out there, biological or otherwise. June 18, 2023 also marks the one-year anniversary of our street naming for the most honorable Founder Fannie Celeste Pettie Watts. Delta Alpha Zeta Chapter was so blessed to hear such a good word at Nazarene Congregational, to fellowship afterwards with the members of the congregation, and then to fellowship with one another outside the walls of the church as we took photos underneath the “Watts Way” street sign. This was a beautiful end to a beautiful weekend, and a beautiful start to what we hope will be an amazing week. Keep the ones you love close, and give your father figures their flowers while you can! 💙🤍🕊️

The Autism Awareness Ribbon - what does it mean? The puzzle ribbon was adopted in 1999 as the universal sign of autism awareness. The puzzle pattern reflects the complexity of the autism spectrum. The different colors and shapes represent the diversity of the people and families living with the condition.
One year ago today, Autism Awareness Month was re-designated Autism Acceptance Month. The terminology change is small but significant and powerful. Awareness is knowing that something is happening. Accepting means intentionally creating a space for inclusion and belonging. In this instance, accepting a person with autism would look like including them in activities within your community and helping them to develop and connect with others in the environment. By doing this, we create a world where people with autism feel empowered and can live fully.
Throughout the month, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated will share information on how our society can become more inclusive for those living on the spectrum.
