Stop by the Secretly Group’s Paved Paradise Pop-Up Record Shop this Saturday, 6/1, from noon to 6pm, at their Brooklyn HQ (330 Wythe at S. 1st Street). A theater in Kyoto, Japan that had a LONG 3-month run of the Other Music documentary is going out of business after SIXTY years. They are showing the film one last time during their final week of business, and they put up this incredible tribute in their lobby. Thank you to the staff of Kyoto Minami Kaikan. 🙏

R.I.P. Ryuichi Sakamoto

We are deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Hamish Kilgour. Hamish was a positive, longtime presence in NYC’s music community, and his influence in one of indie rock’s most pioneering bands, The Clean, was felt around the globe from their home base in Dunedin, New Zealand. A customer and friend of Other Music, we among countless others will sorely miss him. We send our condolences to Hamish’s family and all those who were lucky to have known him.

Includes unreleased live in-store recordings from Neutral Milk Hotel and Vampire Weekend, plus vinyl-only live recordings of Yo La Tengo, Sharon Van Etten, and Bill Callahan (smog) from Other Music's farewell concert at the Bowery Ballroom back in 2016!

Released on Factory 25, the LP is limited to 1500 copies and is pressed on orange vinyl. DVD includes 25 minutes of bonus footage.
