Welcome to Campfire
Welcome to Campfire is the story-making platform of creators and performers Tony Bordonaro and Ingri
Merging dance and theater, Welcome to Campfire's productions immerse characters and audiences in dystopian futures that both endanger and engender intimate human connection. Welcome to Campfire stretches the limits of audiences’ empathy by expanding the definition of immersive theatre and prioritizing the development of original stories. In our age of cyber expansion, Welcome to Campfire invites audiences back to the tribal origins of storytelling.
If you weren’t able to attend The Pigeon & The Mouse in London there’s still a chance to catch this reimagined version of our love story about leaving home! The live performance is available On Demand through September 27th at 11pm. Link in bio!

Opening Tomorrow Night!
We hope you will Join us for The Pigeon & The Mouse at September 9 - 11 at 7:30pm. If you’re not in London don’t fret you can catch a 3-camera livestream of the performance. Virtual ticket holders will be emailed a YouTube link that last for up to two weeks after the live performance!
A-near-future, apocalyptic tale that, in an almost prophetic twist, was conceived of before the COVID-19 pandemic, The Pigeon & The Mouse follows the incongruous tempo of disaster. Real, raw, and vulnerable, the tapestry of imagery and sound takes viewers through the swells of love and hate, terror and boredom, intimacy and distance.

to.campfire will present a reimagined version of their 2020 danceplay “The Pigeon & The Mouse” at September 9 - 11!
Two lovers, ‘“Pigeon” and “Mouse”, shelter together in an abandoned church when nuclear fallout from a civil war forces their city into quarantine. “Cooped up like kids on a rainy day, we made time, made believe, and made love more than our regular lives would have ever allowed,” Mouse writes, before an evacuation order forces them to confront the reality of leaving home, and, potentially, each other. Tony and Ingrid invite their audience to join in the practice of what homo sapiens do best: use fiction and fantasy as a means to survive.

BAC Open, the residency program at Baryshnikov Arts Center that we were lucky enough to be a part of in March, is clearly conceived and operated by producers with the minds, hearts, and experience of artists. In addition to four weeks of gorgeous studio space overlooking the Hudson River, it also provided high-quality photo and video documentation of rehearsal, a two-camera edit of our public showing, a filmed interview, and a written reflection by a writer who spent time observing our process. How invaluable each of those tangible resources are to emerging artists cannot be overstated, and we are looking forward to sharing each of them with you as they are published throughout the summer.
Check out the link in our bio to see all the stunning shots took our our process of The Future chapter of The End in residency !
Our time at researching and workshopping The Future chapter of our next immersive work, The End, was profoundly inspiring and validating. Many thanks to all the creatives and administrators who encouraged us to apply for the BAC Open residency and deepen our work in a new context. The generous team at BAC supported us every step of the way. Including the ledge f himself !
Working with our two performer/collaborators and was an essential milestone in the evolution of our company - awe and gratitude to you both.
Stay tuned for upcoming performances! If you’d like to join our mailing list, please DM us with your email. We’d love to share what we’re working on with you.
