What’s the difference between a language delay, difference, and disorder? Read above to find out! 🗣️

Craniofacial conditions, including cleft lip and palate, are congenital structural anomalies caused by atypical embryo logical development. Speech, language, and hearing deficits may be present with these conditions. This can include articulation, feeding and swallowing, hearing, resonance, and more. Interventions include surgery, speech therapy, and audiological care.

Each July, people around the country take the opportunity to observe National Cleft and Craniofacial Awareness month to improve understanding of cleft and craniofacial issues. To bring awareness, it is encouraged to wear purple colors or a ribbon throughout the month! 💜
