Emilio Borrego Jr. was a most devoted and loyal friend, a beloved brother and son, and an incredible individual all around, and he was taken from us far too soon.

Emilio had a heart of gold and a strong sense of community. His positive energy was contagious; it was clear that he was the life of any party. No matter where he was living, he was always bringing people together. Emilio constantly put others before himself and made everyone around him feel at home in his presence. He radiated warmth, kindness, and love towards the world and will be remembered so by anyone who has had the honor of knowing him.

Emilio was a passionate manager and co-founder of ARCO hair salon in Downtown Brooklyn. Every day he would welcome the world with the best hugs and sweetest laughs. His bright energy and uplifting demeanor filled the salon in early mornings and late nights. In his free time, he loved to travel and valued spirituality in many forms.

On Wednesday, November 30th, Emilio did not wake up after only a few days of battling COVID in his NYC apartment. His family and friends are devastated by his death and are now trying to raise money to cover funeral costs. Emilio will be buried alongside his mother in his hometown of Houston, Texas.

We are asking for your help in raising money for Emilio's funeral. Donations of any amount would be greatly appreciated. All donations will go towards delivering his body to his family in Houston and associated funeral costs.
