BKCM’s Jazz Leaders Fellowship is now open to applications for the 2024-2025 season! Now in its fourth year, the Jazz Leaders Fellowship provides Black women and Black non-binary jazz musicians with the resources to further develop their craft and pursue projects that advance their careers.
In no short order, our fellows receive:
🎵 A $12,500 unrestricted award
🎵 Access to BKCM’s rehearsal spaces
🎵 Paid mentorship for an individual student or ensemble in the CMS Jazz Program
🎵 Employment in the form of subbing and additional teaching
🎵 Participation in the BKCM Jazz Program advisory panel

The Brooklyn Contemporary Chorus is a non-audition community-based chorus welcoming singers ages 18+ of all backgrounds. There is no audition — only a love of music and a good ear for music. The ability to read music is a plus, but not a requirement.
Beginning January 16, 2023, rehearsals for our Spring season will take place on Mondays from 7:30 - 9:30 pm at Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church — 85 South Oxford Street, Brooklyn, N.Y.
