¡The cafe has gone through a lot of changes since we took this photo. It’s no surprise and as we begin to settle into a new phase we’ve realized that bed stuy has changed, new york city and the whole world too. Not everything has been good but not everything has been bad either and sometimes, somehow, its important to remember. We are grateful that we are allowed to continue on this journey to feed, offer health and nourish our community. Thank you for eating with us!

We were so happy when wanted to share our sandwich but we noticed that grilling our eggplant wasn’t producing the result we enjoy from the sandwiches original conception, wherein we fried the eggplant. Well, we have returned to shallow frying the eggplant and it is 👌🏾👩🏾‍🍳✨

¡Hello Friends!

We know we jumped out and reopened without any warning. There was a bit of anxiety around the future and the food industry in NYC required a bit of innovation, still we wanted to stop any dust from settling. With our bearings, we prepare to break free of the covid chrysalis and have decided to share this update.

There are some plans in the works for this summer but for now, enjoy the photos of our Corned Beef plate from St Patricks Day and one of our veggie plates, for those who may never know the joy of corned meat 😋😋😋 Sending love and wishing health to everyone!!

¡Banana Cake!

Our Banana Cake is a little celebration of the holiday ahead, something familiar with a twist. The buttercream in the middle is flavored with lemon zest and vanilla, to brighten the tropical banana flavor that is a staple here, in this sub-tropical café.

This is our only day open this week, we will return next Wednesday! Happy Holidays!

We are working out our favorite foods and pairings so that come new year we can give you a more consistent menu, with things you can expect each day and a surprise or two each week on planned days. Here we have our falafel which sold out yesterday and an escovitch cod fish with roasted vegetables. Today we are prepping a lovely veggie plate with a lemony tahini sauce. Stay tuned! 💗💗

Our pumpkin cake is made with fresh roasted pumpkin, to retain maximum flavor and remove moisture for a creamy texture and light cake. Then its topped with a pumpkin buttercream. Our banana loaf, as always, topped with caramelized bananas and made with perfectly ripe organic bananas, which are just a touch softer than the non organic. Stop by to try our fares !!!
