The Fete team is still bathing in the afterglow of last week’s State Dinner, celebrating the 70th anniversary of the American and Republic of Korea Alliance.

As a Korean immigrant who is living the American Dream, collaborating with Dr. Biden and the White House was the true dream – especially with my mother in attendance.

Thank you to all our partners and collaborators who made it a memorable success. Myself and the Fete team are deeply grateful for the opportunity to have participated in this moment in time.

It is an incredible honor to have been asked back to collaborate with the First Lady and the White House to design last night’s State Dinner, celebrating the Republic of Korea. As a Korean immigrant, I am privileged to experience this moment in my career and life.

Bringing this night to life was rewarding in so many ways as we were able to integrate thoughtful details from both American and Korean cultures, celebrating the 70th anniversary of the American and Republic of Korea Alliance. As a Korean immigrant who has lived the American Dream and is deeply patriotic, this State Dinner could not have been more personal to me as a creative and designer.

Thank you to Dr. Biden, and Social Secretary Carlos Elizondo and his team, for this inspirational collaboration and opportunity.

It is the honor of my life to have collaborated with the First Lady and the White House to design last night’s State Dinner. I am profoundly grateful for this landmark moment in my career as an event designer, planner and producer.

As an immigrant, myself, who came to Brooklyn, New York, and now finds herself in D.C., I am living the storied American Dream: One I didn’t even know existed when I first ventured into event design.

My kids often tell me I am deeply patriotic, and more than ever, I am proud and grateful to be an American. The American Dream, I’ve learned, is this: The pursuit of dreams, coupled with hard work and commitment, are the key to success. Thank you to Dr. Biden, and Social Secretary Carlos Elizondo and his team, for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I am deeply honored and incredibly grateful.
