Nearly 300 runners from New York and Israel ran in support of our grantees, Sharsheret and Shalva National Center. They flew flags, wore yellow pins for the hostages, helped others, and ran the world's best race.
Congratulations again to all who ran! 💙

Ahead of the , we welcomed more than 250 Israeli runners representing our grantee, Shalva National Center, to UJA.
They're one team despite their differences. As our CEO reflects, their community is an example we should follow.

Yesterday, we were honored to welcome a delegation of Israeli female mayors, politicians, and local leaders to UJA.
The delegation met with our CEO, Eric Goldstein, and past president, Alisa Doctoroff, to discuss the challenges facing their communities in Israel. They explored opportunities to deepen mutual understanding of the American Jewish community and identify ways to collaborate on common goals.

We’re honored to support our grantee, Sharsheret, during — and every month.
With an expansive network, Sharsheret improves the lives of Jewish women and families facing breast or ovarian cancer diagnoses with one-on-one guidance, peer support, and extensive resources nationwide.

Six years ago, in the wake of the Tree of Life shooting, we recommitted ourselves to fighting antisemitism.
What started with the development of our Community Security Initiative has evolved into a full-scale effort to keep the New York Jewish community safe and has expanded into multiple sectors.
Today, our fight against hate – on campus, in the streets, and online – only grows stronger. Learn more about our efforts here: https://www.ujafedny.org/our-work/crisis-response/antisemitism.
Last , we awoke to the horrific events of October 7. We’re approaching Simchat Torah once more — and 101 hostages still remain captive in Gaza.
As we observe, we pause to remember everyone we’ve lost since October 7 and reaffirm our staunch solidarity with every hostage who is not yet home.

On October 7 last year, the Yaham Potato Factory in Israel was brutally attacked by Hamas, taking the lives of many workers — Arabs, Bedouins, and Jews alike.
With our support, the factory was able to reopen its doors the next day, ensuring that Israel’s food supply remained uninterrupted, and factory workers were able to process and heal.
[Sukkot] Morning Torah with Rabbi Menachem Creditor! 💙🇮🇱
Chag Sameach! We hope the first few days of are filled with family, gratitude, and lots and lots of shaking. 🍋🌾
Sukkot resonates more deeply this year — especially after a visit to the trapped communities in the north of Israel and the more than 250,000 people still living under constant threat of missiles just outside the evacuation zone.

It’s been one year of heartbreak — and one year of channeling that heartbreak into action.
Since October 7, we’ve leveraged relationships with hundreds of partners and grantees, allocating $134 million to date. Throughout this time, we’ve provided emergency aid and invested in the long-term needs of the people of Israel as they begin the journey of healing and rebuilding.

Today, we experienced the everyday reality of communities in northern Israel.
Sirens sounded over Tzfat as our CEO, Eric S. Goldstein, and Itzik Shmuli, director of our Israel office, were on the ground assessing the needs of Israelis suffering under an endless barrage of Hezbollah missiles.
While viewing a home destroyed by a rocket, our team sheltered with a neighbor who keeps her door open — just in case.
