The goal of SODE’s Unified Champion Schools program is to lead in the creation of accepting school environments, utilizing three interconnected components: Special Olympics Unified Sports®, Inclusive Youth Leadership, and Whole-School Engagement.

Special Olympics Delaware needs Cabin leads and camp counselors for our second session of Summer Camp.
The 3-day, 2-night camp is held at Camp Barnes in Sussex County and is a camp for Special Olympics Athletes aged 14 +.
Counselors must be 14 or older, we are particularly looking for Male Cabin Leads over 18.
Cabin Leads and Counselors are expected to stay for the entirety of camp and be able to lead athletes in various activities throughout the day as well as stay overnight in cabins.

WHERE: U of D Track (Grant Stadium)
DATE: Saturday, June 8th
TIME: 2:00pm - 3:00pm (check-in opens at 1:45pm)
Open to children with and without disabilities ages 2 - 7
Admission: No cost to participate!

We spent the morning volunteering at Special Olympics Young Athletes event today at the Early Years Program at Warner Elementary School! We have two more events later in the week!
Our first volunteer opportunity with Olympics Delaware - Unified Champion Schools was volunteering at the Young Athletes event at the Meadowood Preschool over 10 years ago so we are so excited to be back again!
