✅Extra red sauce on top of your pizza is always free. Personally think it screws the bake up (too wet and heavy for the dough), but don’t let my pizza ocd change your dinner plans.

Good news, bad news kinda post…

Let’s talk about the good news first.

✅We are moving to Cherry Bottom Plaza in Gahanna this fall/winter‼️

Why you ask? Here ya go:

Once upon a time, back in 2022 when we were food truck Nerds, we were approached by an individual who extended an invite to us to share his leased space in Newark. We were ecstatic to think we would soon have a place to our own - as he made mention that he would be retiring in our first year of operation.

We knew sharing a space would have it’s challenges... but knowing the space would be ours independently by the end of 2022 made the decision palatable.

But… it’s became apparent 2 years later that we aren’t going to acquire this location for our independent use. We were no longer welcome in the shop we called home, and the promise of retirement was never fulfilled.

Instead, a substantial financial investment was requested if we wanted to stay and continue to share the space with no independent takeover date insight.

Gun to head negotiations aren’t fun and definitely not how we work. We make decisions based on what is best for our shop AND our staff…and this situation was as bad as it gets.

We have learned HARD lessons - some have brought us to tears, some have made us make choices that we may have been too fearful to make otherwise.

BUT, we have made some great friends…and met wonderful families that we love seeing come through our doors every week🥹

‼️With that being said, we’ll be needing to close our Newark location. Our last day of operation here will be Aug 17, 2024‼️

It wasn’t ever our goal to move our shop, but we’re thankful we found a great location on 10 weeks notice. We love this community and hope to bring shop #2 back home.

More details of a Gahanna open date to follow, but we hope our local Newark/Heath/Granville Nerds will stop by at our new shop next time you’re in the big city 🌆

Hey guys, I'm really sorry, but we will be closed tomorrow (Friday July 5).

I came down with a pretty nasty infection.

Being a delightful mix of stubborn RN and terrible patient, I waited too long to get some oral antibiotics, so I may (hopefully not) need to head to the hospital tomorrow for some of that IV healing juice.

Typically, the team would easily knock the day out, but we're running really short this weekend. So, I'm totally ruining it.

Hopefully we'll have a normal Sat and Sun.

Went out and bought a battery powered weed whacker. Holy moly. I was just whacking weeds like a pro ALL DAY 🌿🌿

Didn’t even have to swear about it not starting. Pressed the lil button and we were whackin‼️

Now, it’s Wednesday and we’re back to making pizza and cookies. Which, in all honesty, is cooler.
