To all of the amazing moms we have the privilege of working with, we celebrate you! Happy Mother's Day!
Today is Birth Motherโs Day. A day that for many holds a world of significance.
A birth mother is one who has given her greatest gift, putting her child into the arms of another to raise, love and discipleโฆA decision not made lightly or without eternal implications. She bravely chose life for her child, forever stepping into a different kind of motherhood.
She is strong, courageous and gives us a beautiful picture of sacrificial love. She is worthy of every ounce of honor that comes with celebrating our mothers.
Her motherhood journey is no less beautiful or deserving of recognition. She has given her priceless treasure to another. She has chosen a different path, forever bonding new hearts, creating new family ties, and forever allowing another to become a mother.
She is brave and she is loved beyond compare.
She is, and will always be, a mother.

โI first met my boyfriend when I was 17. We had only been together for seven months when I found out I was pregnant. My now husband and I were so scared. So many options and choices.
We decided to keep the baby.
We got married a few months later and I gave birth to my daughter. She was so beautiful. The following year I received my diploma. While walking at graduation, I was pregnant with our son.
Everyone thought we were crazy.
Fast forward about two years later and we gave birth to our third child who was also a boy!
At this point people were calling us stupid and everything else you can imagine. Even though we had our own house, my husband had a good paying job and benefits and never asked a cent from anyone.
The negativity was real. People even had the nerve to ask if I was, โGetting fixed.โ
After my son was born, my husband lost his job. But what happened next almost seemed to be a miracle.
God must have known what was about to happen next. My husband received a job that paid double. I was able to become a stay at home mom to my three beautiful kids!
But that's not even the crazy part.
Right before he was put into the union we found out I was having twins! Yes! I'm pregnant again! Yet this time the criticism was even worse.
I learned very quickly not to listen. I'm so glad I didn't listen to them and take the step to get an abortion.๏ฟฝMy children are the most precious blessings ever. I know God doesn't give you anything, you can't handle, and Iโve finally learned not to let opinions matter.๏ฟฝI'm positive abortions happen so much because people are afraid what others will think. We need to stop judging others and be positive, it will save lives.โ

"Last year a Doctor looked me in the eyes & said I had a molar pregnancy - that there was no heart beat and no baby.
I stared back at her, choking back tears and said, "Is there any hope?"
No.
That was her answer. She suggested a D&C or that I allow my body to miscarry naturally, probably around 12 weeks.
My husband and I left with broken hearts after trying to get pregnant and going through a previous miscarriage.
I prayed. I sought counsel. I prayed. But never did I hope. Hope felt out of control - if I hoped and there was no miracle then I would suffer even more pain and heart ache.
But God taught me two things in that season.
Hope puts our trust in a God who is able to hold the most fragile of hearts and protect it.
Hope gives the reigns to God and teaches me to say - your will, Lord, and if not what I hoped for, then I believe you are still God and still good, using it for the glory of your name and with a hand that will comfort me in a way that I would have never known.
That God is God, the only Author of Life. That He creates and He knits together what cannot be seen or known to man.
Four long days passed and a different doctor at a different practice wanted to take a look.
I looked at the tech as she started the ultrasound and told her not to worry - that she didn't have to deliver the bad news because we already knew.
And before I could blubber out the rest of the diagnosis, she said, "there's the heart beat."
What.
Psalm 139 says, "My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
I now hold my son in my arms, knowing that what man could not see or do, God could see and create.
God is the Author of life, the one in whom our hope is secure.
If you are struggling with hope - let me pray for you. That God would refresh your heart and lead you into a depth of knowledge of Him that holds you in complete peace.โ

Welcome to the world, sweet Oakley! We're so happy you're here! ๐ฉท
"About a month after taking our daughter home from the hospital I was rocking her to sleep.โ
โ
I looked down and saw a message from her birth mother asking me to โplease tell her I love herโ. โ
โ
I will never forget the feelings that overcame from that little text.โ
โ
I felt so guilty that I was so incredibly happy and this amazing woman was feeling so much pain. I felt humbled because I know her birth mother would have been an incredible parent, yet she chose me to raise her child. I felt so much gratitude, that this sweet little girl will grow up with so many people in her circle.โ

Adoption is just as beautiful as it is painful." - Laura, Adoptive Momโ
