Today marks ONE YEAR in business!

It was a year full of fun celebrations, creativity, and *many lessons learned and I am truly so grateful. I’m having a hard time believing it was already a year ago when I decided to file the paperwork and jump into building. Part of that might be due to the slow start (note to self, don’t start a seasonal business at the start of the off season haha) but I’m so happy with where things are now and where I am ending this first official year.

Thank you to everyone for following along with me on this journey. Your support means so much! I cannot wait to see what this next year (and beyond) brings!

Hi there! I wanted to take a minute to reintroduce myself:

I’m Alex, the owner of Joppa Event Designs + Rentals 🤍

With a 6 month old baby and a need for a creative outlet, I started this business to have an opportunity to work with my hands and share my many crafting hobbies all rolled into one place. Coming up on a year later and I’ve have the pleasure of being a small part in people’s baby showers, engagement parties, weddings, bridal showers, birthday parties, and more! I feel grateful for the opportunities I’ve had so far and know we’re only just getting started.

We’re reminiscing on brighter, warmer days and this sign we made for a recent bridal shower 🤍

We love this guest activity for the shower to start the couple off with a whole bunch of yummy recipes!

The cards can be sent ahead of time with the invite or done at the shower itself.

A couple months ago we took part in a shoot at a gorgeous venue tucked away in NH . Its white interior with tons of natural light made it the perfect backdrop for all of the incredible vendors that contributed.

We were thrilled to bring our hanging acrylic welcome sign.✨

Speaking of blues….

A slightly darker hue to coordinate with the other signage posted yesterday. These blue name cards are the perfect addition to your event’s table setting.

Blues have been popping up in almost every request we’ve received for weddings this summer and we are so here for it!

Getting items together for our shop - coming soon!

This bride-to-be’s sister reached out a few weeks ago about putting some signage together for the bridal shower she was hosting.

We decided on natural wooden signs to match with the boho vibe of the event.

I liked the results so much I couldn’t wait until the shower and took it along with me to our little photo shoot the other day, so here’s a sneak peak!

We also created a few other smaller signs to go with the activities they are having. Check out our story for the mock-up!

Since the start of this business, I’ve gone back and forth about how to share our items. We’ve been building and creating up a storm but have only been sharing images here and there and as we have events but that is all changing soon.

We’ll be taking photos of all of our current inventory / collections and sharing starting in January! A new year and a fresh start to how we share our creations. Stay tuned! ✨
