There is always so much pride that comes with your work being recognized on a national platform, but the best part for me was truly seeing how overjoyed Bobby and Matthew were with the outcome of over a year of planning. I cried tears of joy and happiness so many times and I’m not mad about it at ALLLLL. It was a delicious experience and this feature is the cherry on top!

“Moody Coastal Christmas meets Winter English Countryside at midnight with a just right flavor of Ralph Lauren je ne sais quoi” - It’s no doubt a mouthful but it was the vision and I think we nailed it. I’m grateful for having the best team in the biz bringing these epic designs to life and for these two gorgeous humans who are now family for life

A few things you would never know just by swiping through these photos …

✨ Each napkin was intentionally placed with extreme precision to look as if they effortlessly fell from the sky and landed this way.

✨ 75 napkins took an hour and half to drop at each setting. I also steamed (and then ironed) each one of them myself the night before. This took me two hours.

✨ Each chair was meticulously placed to present in a perfectly straight line from every angle. We walked the length of the table 10+ times to ensure precision of placement from every possible site line.

✨ Every charger plate lined up precisely with its neighboring plate to the left, right and across. We used a yardstick to guarantee exactness.

✨ 150 hours were logged (of my own hours) in 2.5 months designing, planning, detailing and executing this intimate baby shower for 75 guests.

When I say we pay attention to detail and pride ourselves on producing excellence, 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 is a small glimpse of what I mean.

Real talk though, on the topic of following trends. I’m all for leaning in and paying attention to forward concepts in design and fashion. I am also quite careful to advise my clients to not get too caught up with trying to be trendy. Just because it’s hot right now, doesn’t mean it’s for you. The biggest favor you can do for the integrity of your wedding is to always just do YOU! Authenticity is timeless and always trending ✨

If you find that you need help navigating the bombardment of suggested wedding trends, your first move should be hiring a fully vetted and experienced planner who you wholeheartedly trust to hold your hand. I mean, I’m no expert but … (no wait, yes I am ✨🤌🏼)

There is nothing easy about producing a tented event. The variables are many but the rewards of proper ex*****on are nearly immeasurable. Here is a little throw back to this Summer stunner on the most perfect day, with a team of some of my favorite and industry best creatives, for clients who welcomed me into their lives like family 🫶🏼☀️

I’m a firm believer that the beauty and the heartbeat of any event lies within it’s details. While making sure to always keep a high level view as a whole is very much part of the process and overall success, it’s the conscious consideration of the narrative being told, the intention of it’s experience and embracing the opportunity to get creative in the little moments that really are 🔑.

I’ve been sleeping on sharing these photos from a December holiday bash, one that was truly like no other. It’s actually so good (IMO) that I feel like it needs it’s own yummy little story reveal. Today while on a design call, a new to me vendor partner joked and said “Wow Steph, you can never just take the easy road, can you?” when I presented a brave and wild idea. I don’t yet know if this was well meaning, or meant to be a total dig but either way - it was brutally accurate and SPOT ON. You are damn right. The easy road is so often boring and basic, and I can’t live with being either of those adjectives in this profession. My clients deserve better than that, and my drive just never quits at “sufficient” or “good enough”. I will never over complicate the process or be considered difficult to work with, I work both harder and smarter - but I will ALWAYS elevate. I will expect my creative partners to match that level, and challenge my own heights. I will consistently and fearlessly strive for creative greatness. No doubt that’s so much more work, but the road less traveled is always more curious and magical. Am I right?! ✨
