Hi everyone! June is men's health month, and I'm here in the andrology lab with our amazing tech Christina to remind you how valuable a semen analysis can be in determining male factor infertility. A semen analysis allows us to look at the s***ms' motility and morphology to determine if there are any issues. It's a relatively quick procedure that yields a lot of valuable information!

Surrogacy has become increasingly popular in recent years, with many female celebrities and public figures opening up about their experiences having other women act as their gestational carriers. Much of the discourse around surrogacy comes from parents, but a new survey from surrogacy agency Surrogate First has shed light on how surrogates feel about the process, from working with LGBTQ+ couples to dealing with post-birth conditions such as postpartum depression. Recently I received a card from a patient with an incredibly kind message inside. I felt so much joy when I read it I just had to share! That feeling of a tiny life growing inside you is such an indescribably magical experience, and I am so excited for this mama-to-be! Patients are always so kind when they thank me, but it is really patients who put in the work, who show up even when it’s hard so they can achieve their dream of parenthood. YOU DID IT, MAMA! 🎉🎉🎉

Spending this Mother’s Day reflecting on how grateful I am to be a mom! 👩‍👧My daughter has grown into the most amazing young woman and l am so lucky to call myself her mama. ❤️
I’ve spent my career helping to build families, so I know how difficult this day can be, particularly for those in the infertility community. If you are holding a mother or child in your heart rather than your arms today, know that we see you and are thinking of you.

Every pregnancy I am a part of is special to me, but this one is especially near and dear to my heart. and I are so thrilled for Tanya and cannot wait to meet the sweet baby boy who will be joining the world in a few short weeks!!! 💙 This HRC baby has had so much love from day 1 and I am grateful to be part of his story.

Happy (one day belated!) National Receptionists Day to our stellar front desk staff! Thank you for being the first point of contact for our patients and guiding them with kindness and compassion ❤️ Our office is large and can be intimidating if you have never visited us, but our amazing front desk is always there to greet you with a smile and help you feel at ease. 😊

A very happy Nurses Week to the amazing nurses of HRC and all the hardworking nurses out there! ❤️ If you have had a procedure in our Newport surgery center, you know these kind and compassionate souls firsthand and have experienced the unparalleled level of care they provide. Nurses like Marielle, Stephanie, and Sarah (and so many others!) are the heart of healthcare and we could not do what we do without them!
