Inviting strangers into your home? A share from Dr. Dane's blog!

Inviting strangers into your home? Inviting strangers into your home? As you get older, you become less sensitive, less emotional, and less egocentric and it becomes easier to talk about things that really matter. So, I’d like to talk about something important… Your bowels and gastrointestinal system. I’m sometimes amazed at wh...

Pregnant? I have a pregnancy and pediatric fellowship through the ICPA. I was taught by the founder of the ICPA Larry Webster! Larry taught the Webster technique to our class and very privileged as he passed within months of our class finishing. Webster is a specific technique for pregnant mothers.
Here is some information about the Webster technique.
The Webster technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and diversified adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of subluxation and/or SI joint dysfunction. In so doing neurobiomechanical function in the sacral/pelvic region is improved. The ICPA recognizes that in a theoretical and clinical framework of the Webster Technique in the care of pregnant women, sacral subluxation may contribute to difficult labor for the mother (i.e., dystocia). Dystocia is caused by inadequate uterine function, pelvic contraction, and baby malpresentation. (1) The correction of sacral subluxation may have a positive effect on all of these causes of dystocia.

What do these three different individuals who are 20 to 21 years old have in common?

They have lost the cervical curve and in fact are beginning to move in the opposite direction of where their cervical curve is supposed to be. It is supposed to be on the red line. Very common nowadays with computer, texting and sitting. These three young adults have neck pain and even radiation of pain into their arms already and they are only 20-21. It’s a good thing they have come in for care now as compared to waiting till things get so bad in 10 years.

In a couple weeks, I am moving my practice a couple doors down to suite 100. I have joined Dr. Dane Donohue and I am so excited about it! I know my patients will love the environment! I am grateful for VIP and Brian (the owner) over these years. I truly appreciate being there and appreciate Brian.

Welcome to our newest team member, Dr. Christine Bodendorf!

Many of you may have noticed how busy the office has been in the past year after the remodel of the office in early 2020. The addition of the 2 other businesses to my 10,000 sq. ft. building, Makefield Chiropractic and Newtown CrossFit were a welcome addition. Dr. Tom Sangorgio and his team have been a pleasure to work with. We now have 3 businesses (Wellness Solutions, Makefield Chiropractic, and Newtown CrossFit) dedicated to helping people with their health and wellness goals under one roof. Some people, especially other Chiropractors, ask me if there is a conflict of interest since we have 2 separate Chiropractic businesses in one facility. I always answer “no, I don’t see it that way”. If anything, we have helped each other become better people and better doctors. We collaborate on clinical cases often, and on ideas on how to run our businesses better. Our teams are amazing. We have the best team members in the business hands down. We work hard serving patients, getting results, and we have fun together!

The end result of all of this is that we’ve gotten super busy because of all of your referrals to our practice. After 30 years of adjusting, I couldn't keep up and needed to create more times for you to get in because my back and shoulders just couldn’t handle the load! We are having to schedule new patients’ weeks out and some of you can’t get in on the days you would like. This is not acceptable.

To solve this problem, we are adding a new Chiropractor to the practice. We’ve actually been searching for a while now and wanted to find the right fit for our amazing team as we know how important team chemistry is. We get so many compliments on how awesome and engaging our team is and so we wanted to find a Chiropractor who embodies that same spirit. Good news! We found her! Below is her bio and I ask that you schedule a visit with her. She is very experienced; she has adjusted me and she is awesome. She also lives a healthy Chiropractic lifestyle. She will be an awesome coach for those of you who want and need the inspiration and direction of what to do for your health once you leave the office.

Welcome, Dr. Christine Bodendorf! (Bio below)

Dr. Christine Bodendorf’s personal experience with Chiropractic care was the catalyst that changed the course of her life’s work. Plagued by chronic headaches for most of her life, she sought the advice of a friend who happens to be a Chiropractor when she was finally exposed to the benefits of holistic healthcare. Through chiropractic care, the pain that had become a way of life was now a thing of the past.

For the first time in her life, Dr. Christine was not only headache free, but she was also acutely aware of what she was born to do, become a Chiropractor! At once, Dr. Christine decided to pursue a professional postgraduate degree to become a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) from Life University.

Dr. Christine has a Bachelor of Science exercise physiology degree from West Chester University, and a Chiropractic degree from Life University. While at Life University, Dr. Christine became certified in a cranial/sacral technique also known as SOT (Sacral Occipital Technique). She was privileged to teach the SOT technique to chiropractic students for 3 years and gained the status of Vice President of the SOT club. She completed a fellowship in pediatrics with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and is recognized by peers as having extensive experience in pregnancy and pediatric techniques, especially breech, and difficult pregnancies.

Dr. Christine has been providing compassionate Chiropractic healthcare for over 23 years. Having extensive experience in wellness care and personal injury cases. She is keenly aware of the needs of patients with chronic and acute conditions using advanced adjusting techniques for the spine, cranial area, and extremities.

Dr. Christine enjoys spending time with her Fiancé, Jody, and her three daughters ages 19, 22, and 24, and Jody's son Chase, age 22. She is active in athletics and has run half marathons and the Philadelphia marathon. Enjoying the challenge of powerlifting competitions and weighing in at 114, she holds a 300-pound deadlift record and is 18th in the nation out of all weight lifting federations and all ages. Dr. Christine has also competed in 2 figure competitions placing in both the masterclasses and open classes. She enjoys time spent at the beach with friends and family.

Best in Health,

Dr. Dane AND Dr. Christine

18 year old neck versus a normal neck. Seeing a lot of this. The curve is gone and young adults are experiencing neck pain, upper back pain and nerve irritation into the arm and hand. Text neck + COVID home bound.
