Let me tell you about Michelle's amazing journey. She decided she wanted to get healthier, so she started working hard in September. And wow, did she rock it!

Since then, she's lost a whopping 40.3 pounds. Yeah, you read that right—she crushed it! Imagine the feeling when she saw that number on the scale. It was like winning the lottery, but way better because it was all her hard work paying off.

A first meeting full of doubt turned into a woman full of progress and beaming with confidence.

When FLA first talked to Mary, she was unsure of getting into the program. She didn’t know if she could do it and succeed. Until we guided Mary to get the workout plan that suited her along with understanding food and nutrition.

👉I like it (the program). I find that there's a lot of food to choose from to eat, like obviously all greens right? But it gives it more of a mixture where I can play around with. And the workouts are good.

👉I feel good. I do feel confident.

Through consistency and sustainability with the habits she built, Mary was able to lose her weight goal. It was a journey of patience and perseverance which bloomed into progress and success.

Erika was fired up to see how far she’s gone with her journey at FLA. She redirected her mindset to eat the right food, she cherished the support, and loved how her arms looked. Erika even felt that old clothes fit her better than before!

👉I'm just amazed at how my mindset just changed. Just like you said what happend. The mindset of 'I don't need the junk food anymore' 'I don't want it because then I feel bloated, I feel heavy, I feel tired.' And the food I'm eating now doesn't make me feel that way. It fills me up enough and I keep my energy.

👉I like the food and I love the support we have with our community.

👉All my friends know that I'm complaining about my arms. And I feel really good about my arms now. I still need a tone and all that but they've actually been built, like considerably. And that's a big deal to me.

Can you manage your appetite?⁠

To a certain extent yes, you absolutely can.⁠

The best way to avoid getting so hungry that you end up eating everything in sight (we've all been there! 🍟) is to eat every 3-4 hours.⁠

Three small meals with a couple of healthy snacks in between is perfect. ⁠

No need to starve yourself, just keep an eye on your portion sizes.⁠

Choose filling carbs, protein-rich (like yogurt) and fiber-rich snacks (like oatcakes or hummus with veggies) and stay hydrated. ⁠

Protein may be one of the most useful tools in keeping full, but fatty foods will also help massively. 🥑⁠

And don't forget the veggies! ⁠

High fiber foods take longer to digest, making you feel full longer on fewer calories. ⁠

6 healthy calorie-dense foods you should know about🥜🥜⁠

Part of mindful eating is awareness of what we put in our mouths. ⁠

You need to know how your favorite meals measure up to your body's needs (calorie-wise, nutrient-wise, etc) without letting them rule over you. ⁠

👉Super important if you're working towards a weight loss goal.⁠

I mean, I love me some nut butter and trail mix to keep me filled and energized.😉⁠

But if I'm trying to stay within my happy weight, I make sure that to have my fill and still be mindful of my portions.⁠

These are:⁠

➡️Mixed nuts⁠
➡️Nut butters⁠
➡️Health bars⁠
➡️Dried fruit⁠
➡️Granola⁠
➡️Olive oil⁠

Let me remind you that they're not bad for you, just so happens that some foods are higher in calories than others. ⁠

At the end of the day, you just need to snack smart and feed your body right.💖⁠

No need to deny yourself as long as you don't overdo it, you're free to drizzle that olive oil on your dinner tonight.⁠

It’s better to make healthy lifestyle choices that are sustainable so that you can carry through with them in the long-term - as opposed to strict changes that will make you fall off the wagon. 😉⁠

Long-term healthy habits that you can adopt include:⁠

👉 Staying active ⁠

Focus on keeping your body active and/or building healthy muscle mass as opposed to doing excessive cardio sessions. ⁠

Choose something that you genuinely enjoy and don’t mind doing. ⁠

👉 80/20 approach⁠

Use this as a guide for your everyday diet, rather than cutting out all your carbs completely. ⁠

By using the 80-20 rule, you can still eat a healthy, balanced diet with just a few goodies now and again. ⁠

👉 Prioritize sleep⁠

This is an important one. Aim to get 6-9 hours of quality sleep each night. Getting in less hours is linked to increased stress levels and weight gain. ⁠

👉 Macro focused⁠

A well-balanced eating plan includes all three macros. This is to ensure that you consume enough carbs, protein, and fat while still fueling your body with the right amount of energy.⁠

👉Keeping hydrated ⁠

Ensure that you are drinking enough water for your body weight. Also aim to have a glass of water before each meal. ⁠

Well, if you make a few healthy changes to your eating habits, that is. Here’s how to start:⁣⁣⁠

🍇 You build healthy habits. If you want to stop dieting, you need to build healthy habits instead. ⁣⁠
⁣⁣⁠
🍇 Stop seeing food as good or bad. When you label food as good or bad you spend your time thinking about the moral implications of eating it, which takes up your mental space. ⁠

Eating shouldn’t be stressful.⁣⁣⁠
⁣⁣⁠
🍇 Accept that progress takes time. No one can move from A to Z over night! ⁣Progress may also take hard work, persistence, humility, and a bit of frustration, but keep normalising all the feelings that come along with it. ⁣⁣⁠

🍇 If the greatly anticipated cheat meal is the highlight of your week, you need to let go of the cheat meal mentality. ⁣⁠

Also Im a huge fan of coffee.

I love it.

But i make sure i get a good amount of water in before i down my bean water.
