Also on Nov. 8, per the request of the TMBA Board of Directors, the following bylaws amendment is being proposed to all time for a director to relocate to a new mortgage firm:

Board of Directors

7. Vacancies and Removal of Director: A director may be removed or replaced at any time by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the eligible voting Board of Directors present, provided a quorum (Article 1, Section 5) is present. A board vacancy caused by death, incapacitation, removal or resignation of a Director shall be filled at any time by vote of the eligible voting Board of Directors.
a. Should a director be transferring mortgage firms during their term in office, the member shall be granted an extension of 3 months to complete the relocation before creating a vacancy on the board. During this time, the member must maintain the NMLS ID.

Stop by with nonperishable food and monetary donations to benefit the Judeo-Christian Outreach Center (JCOC), an Oceanfront-area nonprofit that provides emergency housing and day support to the homeless as well as a food pantry and community feeding program for those facing food insecurity. The George Moore Memorial Food Drive is named in memory of longtime TMBA member and Past President George E. Moore III, who served as TMBA president in 1982 and as president of the Virginia Mortgage Bankers Association in 1989. He was a passionate JCOC volunteer who activities included organizing fundraising events to benefit the organization and serving on its Board of Directors for 15 years.
