Makusue Ski and Sport Club
Makusue Ski and Sport Club is a group of outdoor loving adults in the heart of the White Mountains.
Careful if you’re planning a Tuckermans trip. It is a must on the New Englander bucket list!
Greetings spring skiers and hikers!! A section of the Tuckerman Ravine Trail through The Lip Area is now CLOSED to all use. This section extends from Lunch Rocks to the top of the Headwall where it meets the Alpine Garden Trail. Only this section of the trail is closed. This annual closure is due to the magnitude of the crevasses and undermining, along with the severe consequences of a fall in this area. (36 CFR 261.55(a))
For hikers looking to pass through this area, please use three Lion Head Trail instead!
Everyone buying super light hiking gear needs to save their money… how about a helium balloon 😂

They said 2” but we did Upper Wildcat which we all think had 4” on it easily.
Got into the glades on the left side of Cheetah which was nice a soft and filled with that good white stuff!!
Who’s hitting this powder today!
Some Maks getting some turns in at Killington. 5” and still coming down.
Wow our club was established in 1956… 17 yrs before Bretton Woods existed. That just blows our minds!
A merry kickoff weekend with the Makusues! We even made ornaments for the Christmas tree!
What do you use for drying your ski/snowboard boots while on vacation? specifically a vacation where you travel by plane.
Some of us just got done golfing and then straight to tinkering so we can mow the lawn. Thanks Dave, always taking care of our club!
Is downhill not your thing? That’s ok we have some cross country members as well.
Contact us to learn how a membership to our club gives you access to all sorts of winter and year round activities in the Conway, NH area.
Whitaker Woods has a trail head just 0.5 miles from the club’s front door.
EICSL XC explored Whitaker Woods. We are enjoying the ski season and hoping it doesn’t end quite yet!
Some Makusue members enjoying Killington. Anyone in the Conway area enjoying snow today!?
It’s pretty simple to make a ski club happy. Snow, snow, maybe some more snow!
The bonus was wicked short lift lines.
So happy we have our club to drive up to on a Friday night or whatever night you want and only be 30 minutes from the best New England ski day in 2023!
If the road conditions stopped you from driving up, consider visiting us a few weekends to see if a membership makes sense for you!
Snow day ❄️ 🏂⛷
Picture of our parking lot and 3” of new fluffy snow on the deck!
It’s simple: Great conditions! And of course no lift lines.

Our Makusue Rookie of the Year is asking for your support. Please click the link below to donate to her team (as small as $5 donations are accepted).
This foundation relies fully on donations from the many events they hold throughout the year, 100% of these donations go to support families affected by cancer in the Mount Washington Valley.
Her mom was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in 2017. Over the past 3 years she has fought incredibly hard and has successfully kept the cancer at bay. Her most recent battle was when the cancer moved to her lungs, but with only 3 rounds of treatment the cancer spots are shrinking. She continues to receive treatment every 3 weeks and is fighting hard. This year my mom has continued to travel, ski, golf and even started doing some hiking this summer!
