For the entire month of June we have been focusing on our mental health.
We realize that mental health includes health
in our spirit,
in our body,
in our mind and thoughts,
in our emotions,
in our behaviors and habits, and
in our relationships.
So Soul CARE is Healthcare
We now know that Self-care is Mental Healthcare.
We know that Racial Trauma can and should be treated too.
We ALL need help from time to time and that includes mental healthcare in the form of counseling and spiritual care in the form of pastoral counseling.

Day 23 of Our 30-Day BREATHE Mental Health Challenge.
Here is a coping skill you can use to decrease panic attacks:
Grounding with Touch Sensory
When you are feeling anxious
1st Take deep, slow, soft breaths (breathe in to 5 count, hold for 2 count, breathe out your mouth to 7 count)
2nd Take time to use your touch and feel sensory to ground yourself:
a. put your hands on your cheeks
b. touch a smooth surface, a cold surface, a warm surface, a fuzzy surface
c. wash your hands slowly while you lather your hands with soap notice the bubbles and silky feel to your skin, when you rinse your hands notice the cool or warm water on your hands.
Take a final deep breathe to complete your grounding practice and complete the process of putting yourself in a calming state.
BREATHE IN PEACE, BREATHE IN CALM

Elevate your mind! That means in the areas where you have been living beneath your potential and beneath your purpose, dare to dream bigger, reach wider, dig deeper, and expand your reach.
Sometimes our brain tells us to play it safe, don't move too far from what you know, but I am here to encourage you that it is okay to move beyond your comfort zone. Elevate your mind to new opportunities, new friendships, new careers, better jobs, and better behaviors. BREATHE in to Elevation!
