The AAMU Advancement Office announces The Start Here….Go Anywhere Scholarship. The scholarship is open to all full-time students with demonstrated financial need.

Scholarship Criteria:

• Must be enrolled full-time
• Must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA; (2.5 high school GPA for first semester freshmen)
• Must have a demonstrated financial need
• Must be willing to participate in all Advancement events as needed
• Must be willing to be featured in Advancement publications and on social media platforms

Complete FASFA October 1 and remember most universities deadlines for applications and in-house scholarships is December 1st.

**Scholarship Announcement**

Criteria for selecting Rolling Into Success, Inc. Scholarship Finalists

All applicants must meet the basic eligibility criteria by fully completing the online application and requested supporting documents. The application will open March 7, 2022 and close at midnight March 20, 2022. The program is competitive in nature, and not all applicants will be selected for a scholarship. Finalists will be selected on the basis of:
• A completed application
• Community service hours (50+ hours)
• Academic records including: 3 Letters of Recommendations and a unofficial transcript
• College Acceptance Letter
• Leadership and participation in school or community activities
• An essay written by the applicant (1500 words or more)
• Graduating from a West Alabama High School in 2022

The essay topic will be disclosed when application opens. The selection process will not be influenced or affected by the actual or perceived race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, disability, gender, or sexual orientation of any applicant. In addition, donations to Rolling Into Success, Inc. or pre-existing relationships with the community are not part of the evaluation of student merit.
