The American Lebanese Engineering Society (ALES) is a volunteer-based non-profit professional organization founded in 1991.
We are pleased to announce that the American Lebanese Engineering Society joined the World Lebanese Cultural union, as a professional “Engineering” group. To kick-off the joined activities, we are planning a Speaker Seminar Series dinner at Byblos restaurant, on April 28, honoring the famous Lebanese architect,
Ms. Terry Bitar.
Reception at 6:00 PM
Dinner at 7:00 PM
Followed by key not presentation
And scholarship awards

Entertainment will be provided by the famous Qanoun Player, Mr. Jamal Sinno and his ensemble.

Scholorship announcement
Every Year the American Lebanese Engineering Society (ALES) a member of the World Lebanese Cultural Union (WLCU) offers $2,000 scholarships to students of Lebanese descent at their annual dinner and recognition event. This year the event will be held on Sunday April 28.
Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
Students must meet the following minimum criteria for eligibility:
Must attend an ABET accredited university.
Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.25 on a scale of 4.00.
Must be Lebanese or of Lebanese descent.
Must be a junior, a senior, or a graduate student.
Must be enrolled and working toward a degree in engineering, engineering science, computer science, or architecture.
Submission Requirements
Qualified candidates must submit all the following items for evaluation:
A completed application form.
A copy of the most recent academic transcript.
A recent photograph. It may be used to promote the scholarship in an article to be published on WLCU’s website and local newspapers.
A one-page essay describing why the applicant should be awarded this scholarship.
