Today we observe Memorial Day, a day of remembrance to all those have given their lives in service to greater causes - regardless of political affiliation or ideology, today is to Honor and remember their sacrifice, their heroism, they did what others wouldn't, so that others would not have to. John 15:13 really simplifies this - Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
