The churches of Lalibela in Ethiopia, sculpted directly from solid volcanic rock, represent a monumental achievement in architectural history. Unlike traditional construction, these churches were hewn downward from the top, requiring the builders to exercise extreme precision and foresight. Any error in judgment would have been irreversible, demanding a flawless ex*****on from the start.
Among these architectural marvels, the Church of Saint George (Bete Giyorgis) stands out prominently. This church, famous for its cross-shaped design visible from above, is a monolithic wonder, carved entirely from one single block of rock. The design not only showcases an advanced understanding of stone craftsmanship but also a deep symbolic reverence, embodying the sanctity of its religious purpose.
Wrapped in layers of myth and mystique, the construction of Lalibelaβs churches is also steeped in legend. It is said that angels themselves participated in the building process, allowing these formidable structures to be completed at a miraculous pace. Legends recount that human artisans worked by day while celestial beings took over at night, infusing the site with divine energy and enabling the rapid progress of this ambitious project. This blend of human endeavor and supernatural assistance highlights the sacred importance of Lalibela as a pilgrimage site and a testament to the spiritual devotion of its people.

πΎ POEM OF A DOG
I'm the one who's always waiting for you.
Your car has a special sound that I have imprinted on my senses, I can recognize it in a thousand.
Your steps have a magic bell.
Your voice is music to my ears.
If I see your joy, it makes me happy!.
Your scent is the best.
Your presence moves my senses.
Your waking up wakes me up
I contemplate you sleeping and for me you are my God, I am happy watching your sleep.
Your look is a ray of light.
Your hands upon me, hold the lightness of peace and the sublime display of infinite love.
When you leave, I feel a huge void in my heart.
I keep waiting for you again and again.
I am the one who will wait for you all your life today, tomorrow and forever:
I am your dog.
"I adopted your dog today.
The one you left in the shelter.
The one you had for 10 years. That you don't want to keep him anymore.
I adopted your dog today.
Did you know he lost weight?
Did
you know he is terrorized and depressed?
And it seems he has lost all trust?
I adopted your dog today.
He had fleas and suffered from winter.
I guess you don't care what state he is in?
They told me you left him.
I adopted your dog today.
Did you have a baby or did you move? You have at once
a developed allergy? Or there was no reason,
why couldn't he stay with you?
I adopted your dog today.
Sheβs not playing and barely eating.
I think she is very sad and will take time,
before she gets her trust again.
I adopted your dog today.
And here we will love him.
He found his forever family.
And a warm place to relax.
I adopted your dog today.
And I will give him everything: patience, love, and safety.
So he can forget your cowardice. "
Peace Ever.

Well R***r saved me a hospital trip maybe even my life. He has never bitten me beside playing but today while walking the lake as we always do he became pretty aggressive nipping at me then wrapped my leg and his dew claws really dig in I turned to scold him and he ran around me like trying to avoid me.
I turned to grab him and found him confronting a copperhead backed against a log, fighting to protect me until I fetched a stick to assist. Tears nearly filled my eyes as I realized he risked his life to save me. I sat down with him, embracing him tightly. Without a doubt, he's my guardian. The title of the best dog ever unquestionably belongs to him. Rather have this cut that the bite from that copperhead any day.
Thankful for my best friend.

The Coyolxauhqui stone, discovered by chance on February 21, 1978, in Mexico City, is captured in this evocative photograph. Located between Argentina and Guatemala Streets, the artifact measures 3.4 by 2.9 meters (about 11.2 by 9.5 feet) and is 0.4 meters (approximately 1.3 feet) thick, weighing an impressive 10 tons. Believed to date back to 1473, the stone features a detailed carving of Coyolxauhqui, the Aztec moon goddess. In the image, we see a group of people, including archaeologists and officials, closely observing this significant archaeological find. What secrets of the Aztec empire might this ancient stone help us unlock?

In the twilight of my years, I found companionship not in the hustle of life, but in the eyes of a loyal friend. He was a stray, his coat matted and his belly empty, yet his spirit unbroken. With a gentle touch, I reached out, and he, with trust as vast as the open sky, followed me home.
Now, he is more than my dog; he is my confidant, my joy, my little beacon of hope. When I speak, he listens, responding not with words, but with a love so pure it is spoken in the silent language of tail wags and tender licks upon my weary hands.
"Fido," I whisper, as the last coins clink in our jar, "patience, my friend, for our feast is but a sunrise away."
And when that sunrise breaks, we stand together amidst the sea of faces weathered by time, each holding onto scripts of life well-lived. Fido's tail dances with joy, for he knows that today, our bellies will be full, and our hearts even fuller.
Winter's chill may seep through the cracks of our humble abode, but Fido nestles close, his warmth chasing away the cold. As spring's first blossoms unfurl, we bask in the golden glow, our souls intertwined in silent gratitude.
From the depths of my being, a prayer ascends, carried aloft by the morning breeze: "Thank you, Divine Creator, for the gift of the dog, a true friend who asks for nothing but gives everything."
