Celebrate National Nonprofit Day with Rockland County YMCA! 🏊♂️🤸♀️
Today, we honor the incredible impact of nonprofits in our community! At Rockland County YMCA, we’re proud to serve as a cornerstone of health, wellness, and support for families across Rockland County. 💙
From youth development programs to fitness and wellness initiatives, our mission is to strengthen the community, one person at a time. On this special day, we want to thank YOU—our members, volunteers, and donors—who make our work possible.
From increasing access and closing educational opportunity gaps to combatting loneliness and social isolation, the Y understands the core of a strong, diverse, vibrant, equitable, and inclusive community comes from everyone’s desire to connect, belong, help others, and to contribute.
With an intentional focus on four critical areas, our Y maximizes its on-the-ground presence and network of sustainable resources to meet the needs of our neighbors.
The Annual Campaign allows us to connect, support and serve more than 1,000 children, teens, families, adults, and seniors each year with programs and services that strengthen our community — and allow individuals the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
🙏 Consider supporting the Y today!
Your contribution helps us continue providing essential services, programs, and opportunities to those most in need.
Together, we can build a stronger, healthier Rockland County.

Clarkstown for Climate is a nonprofit founded by Gianna Maltbie, a Clarkstown North High School student and made up of students from Clarkstown North, Clarkstown South and Nyack High Schools. The group advocates and educates for environmental conservation. C for C has done multiple community events across Rockland. This is their first completed garden project with plans to install more across the county. County Legislator Beth Davidson, who chairs the Legislature's Environmental Committee, encourages everyone to celebrate our young student leaders and environmental activists at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new YMCA Cutting Garden. Based on the conference feedback and conversations with you all, we are committed towards better communication, more guiding information for students and advisors, and an overall sense of community within our state program.
Here you will find important dates and deadlines, Middle School resource team application, the Youth Governor’s Cabinet application, and a link to sign up for the monthly newsletter. Towards the end of the summer and start of the YAG season, we will be sending more information regarding curriculum for the year, Presiding Officer introductions, website updates, and more.
As always, please reach out to any Presiding Officer or State Advisor if you have any questions about any of the information. Have a great rest of your summer!!
Bridge the afterschool gap. // for a better us
The gap between the last school bell and when parents arrive home from work is a critical time for keeping kids safe and engaged. Without a supervised place to go, youth and teens are at risk. The YMCA provides solutions, and generous donors like you provide support. Please give today to help bridge the gap.
