Job description
KidsConnect Pediatric Therapy is a growing therapist-owned, pediatric private practice that provides occupational and speech therapy services in Oak Park/River Forest, IL, and surrounding areas.
Our clinic is seeking a highly enthusiastic, fun, and compassionate Illinois licensed OT who is ready to join our clinic to help both children and families learn how to grow from difficult life experiences.
This is a FULL TIME position with benefits.

JOB REQUIREMENTS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Some pediatric experience is preferred, but will consider and train a highly motivated new graduate
Training in DIR/Floortime® preferred, or willingness to learnUnderstanding of SPD, and child development in treating children with emotional and regulatory needs
Knowledge of feeding and nutrition is a plus
Knowledge of Natural Language Acquisition and Gestlat learners is a plus
Establish and implement a high-quality, individualized plan of care for each client
Submit electronic medical record documentation in a timely manner
Able to prioritize and manage time effectively
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy
State of Illinois Occupational Therapy License
Schedule: Monday to Friday

KidsConnect Pediatric Therapy, PLLC is a growing therapist-owned, pediatric private practice that provides occupational and speech therapy services in Oak Park/River Forest, IL and surrounding areas.

Our clinic is seeking an enthusiastic, fun, and compassionate EXPERIENCED Illinois licensed pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and feeding disorders in children, and teens.
This is a PART TIME or FULL TIME position.
Your roles at KidsConnect include:
Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations on children. Analyze, interpret, and document evaluation results.
Nurture client’s social skills based on strengths and through hands-on and play-based-therapy (DIR Floortime knowledge great to have).
Develop and implement individual and/or group therapy according to individual needs and goals (Natural Language Acquisition skills great to have).
Provide family and school (if needed) education and training to assist in carryover of skills into a client’s daily life.
Closely collaborate and co-treat with OTs, and Mental Health Specialists before, during or after sessions to reach therapeutic goals.
MUST HAVE:
Master’s Degree in speech-language pathology/communicative disorders or equivalent from an accredited college or university and Illinois State License with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
At least one year experience working with children 0-18 years old treating, ADHD, Autism, Speech/Language/Developmental Delays, Phonological/Articulation Disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Motor Coordination Disorder, and/or Feeding Difficulties.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Passion for working with children with special needs.

Feeding Group
Yummy Silly Foods - Mondays from 10-11:30 am
5-8 y.o.
Group led by an Occupational Therapist (Dana) and a Speech Therapist (Alissa),
Therapeutic Listening Quickshifts and Feed the Peds approaches,
Decrease sensory food aversion, explore non-prefered foods, increase self-feeding independence, and create an overall positive mealtime experience.
The group is not billable via insurance; it is made available at a reduced out of pocket rate*.
Body and Emotional Regulation Group
Move and Groove - Tuesdays from 2:15-3:45 pm
3-5 y.o.
Group led by an Occupational Therapist (Alexis) and a Speech Therapist (Alissa),
Zones of Regulation, Sensory Integration, and Ninja Life Hacks approaches,
Children will get acquainted to and learn how to maintain a calm body behavior and demonstrate safe emotions in a controlled environment via a rich sensory experience and tailored social stories.

Social Skills Group
“Chatty Me” - Wednesday from 2:15-3:45 pm
8-10 y.o. or 11-14 y.o.
Group led by an Occupational Therapist (Alexis) and a Speech Therapist (Alissa),
Social Participation and Mindfulness Approaches,
Self monitoring skills, responding to situations in an appropriate way, relating with others appropriately, problem solving, initiating and maintaining dialog, and forming meaningful friendships.

Pre K and K Readiness Group
“School is Fun” - Friday from 10-11:30 am
3-5 y.o.
Group led by an Occupational Therapist (Natali) and a Speech Therapist (Alissa),
“Handwriting Without Tears” and “Sensory Integration” approaches,
Participation in structured activities in a small group circle time, using words to engage with others, and pre handwriting and handwriting skills.
