Joey is the newest member of our Pet Therapy Program! On select days, Joey sits with IWS Children’s Clinic patients after their primary appointment, providing comfort to the kiddos who need it most.

Animal Assisted Therapy can help ease children’s feelings of embarrassment, anxiety, fear and pain, while promoting positive feelings of confidence and joy. We are proud to be offering such a special program to our young patients - they absolutely adore spending time with the pups! 🐾✨

In a few short weeks, the OPRF Infant Welfare Society will be hosting their annual Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway - all IWS Children’s Clinic families are invited to join in the fun! This is an exclusive event for our IWS patients. We will be giving away FREE backpacks and school supplies, plus offering health education, healthy snacks, and more! 🎒📚

We have so many amazing books in our Giving Library! ❤️

The Giving Library provides a gently used book to every patient at the IWS Children’s Clinic after their appointment! We make sure to curate books that are not only inspiring and uplifting, but also represent a variety of family and child experiences - sharing inclusive stories is always a priority. 📚

This is all made possible by the generous time and effort of our IWS members - thank you for going above and beyond for the kiddos!

Climate change is an issue facing all generations from young to old. The Oak Park River Forest Infant Welfare Society is welcoming guest speaker Pamela Tate to discuss the topic from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thurs., April 25 at 28 Madison St. The free presentation is titled How to Save the Planet & Save Your Money Too: Your Role in Solving the Climate Crisis. Tate is member of the Oak Park Climate Action Network and is also a Certified Climate Reality Leader trained by former Vice President Al Gore. Her discussion will focus on kitchen table decisions everyone can make to help the environment as well as ways to get involved at the community, state and federal level in fighting climate change.
