This is the moment I was able to take my son home from the NICU. He was intubated for almost a week and I had nothing to do but think about my life, him, and our future.
I made up my mind that I would never be away from him again unless it was MY choice. Going through a brutal labor and delivery to leave the hospital without my baby was horrible…… but it made me realize what I TRULY want out of life. For that, I am beyond grateful.
I want to be the best mom ever to this little guy.
I decided to pick up cosmetic tattooing because it was something I could do well, make money at, and be with my son as much as possible. I was used to traveling a lot in my corporate job and that was something I no longer wanted to do. So, I stopped. It really was that simple.
INKAngel has allowed me the freedom to do what I want, how I want, and when I want. I get as much out of it as I put in……. Similar to parenting.
Being a business owner is not easy but it’s worth it. There have been times I was not sure how I was going to pay my bills but then, sometimes within an hours, God would provide. He always does.

I get asked a lot about my training programs and often notice that people ask the WRONG questions.
Yes, it is important to know the cost, what’s included, etc.
However, the REAL thing you should be looking at, if you want to have the best start, is WHO you are training with.
Ask yourself……. “Is this person going to truly want me to succeed?”
If the answer is a no or a maybe, find another trainer.
If you are investing in someone, they should be invested in you. Now, am I going to hold your hand? No. Am I going to do the work for you? No. What I will do is show you how to do the work, what I did and still do to get clients, and make sure I give EVERYTHING I have to my students during class. Eyeliner is the least painless procedure I have done. My clients are shocked at how NON painful it is. I did this entire procedure and only numbed my client once. As you can see, swelling was also to a minimum. I am telling you, this is a game changer if you wear eyeliner everyday. 🤯

When I was learning brows, it was during one of the hardest times of my life. I was on the verge of becoming a single mother. I was broke. I was scared. I was heartbroken. I was so far down in a dark place that learning how to tattoo was the only thing that made me feel like I had a way out.
Aside from the day I birthed my son, the day I tattooed for the first time was the day my life really started. I never looked back.
So now, when I see my students tattoo for the first time, I can’t help but wonder if I did a good enough job as their teacher to give them the same feeling. Seeing them smile makes me smile.
