Happy 100 to Memorial Stadium… surely it was our little bait shop opening in 1922 that inspired such an architectural feat just a year later in 1923 ;)

The iconic venue opened its doors on this day in 1923.

Over the next century, it was the site of countless unforgettable moments, from Oski’s golden debut (1941) to “The Play” (1982).

Thanks for the memories — and many more to come. 💛

Kingfish team to reopen Oakland hot dog landmark Original Kasper's The historic Temescal restaurant has been closed since 2003, but if all goes well it will be slinging Chicago-style hot dogs again this fall.

Kingfish Emeriti - Frank Greenspan & Jerry Wagner now call Eugene, OR home. Of course their adoptive regular - the Jackalope Lounge - bears a striking shacky resemblance to our cherished bait shop dive.
