EXTREME HEAT IS HERE!
Top tips to share during this heat wave:
-Know the signs of heat-related illness: Symptoms of heatstroke and heat exhaustion can include heavy sweating, muscle cramps, feeling weak, headache, nausea or vomiting, tiredness, or dizziness.
-Stay cool and hydrated: Find a cooling center, community center, public library, shopping mall, or other air-conditioned building that can provide relief.
-Look out for others: Check in on friends, coworkers and family and have them do the same for you. And don’t forget about pets.
Day 5 of Trybe's Summer Camp, the kids made their own aquarium, had a sing along entertainment, small show, dance along, outdoor sports, and more! Day 4 of Trybe's Summer Camp had a full day of so much activities with lots of families! The kids were able to make starfish, chalk art, circle time, and more! Trybe's Summer Camp is a fun way for the kids to interact with one another to make friends and have some fun in the sun with sports time. Last Beloved event on Sunday was such as beautiful day to relax and unwind! Fun vibes were present along with the hot air balloon activity for the kiddos, entertainment for everyone, food, and more! There'll be one more Beloved before we go on our break so don't miss out!

Day 3 of Trybe's Summer Camp, we had fish activities as a part of our theme for this year, which is Under the Sea theme! Each child was able to create their fish from a paper plate then "swam" with it Under the Sea as a part of their imagination and creativity! For entertainment, we sang and danced to the song of Baby Shark with the kids, which the kids loved! Don't worry, there's more to come! So much happened last Friday at Town Nights! The event kicked off with a song and dance with the summer camp kids. Tons of folks got massages, haircuts, braids, vaccines and more! The evening was also filled with bingo, basketball, futsal, skating, bouncing in the bounce house, and a special performance by Tiempo Libre.

Day 1 of Trybe's Summer Camp was so busy and full of FUN! This year's fun theme is Under the Sea. There's a small short entertainment segment for the kids, sensory bins full of sand, readings, and more outdoor activities for the kids and the parents!

Some highlights from last week's fun activities. Town Nights is happening again tonight! Starting 5pm at San Antonio Park. Theme of the night will be Health & Wellness at San Antonio, which means there will be massages, chiropractor alignments, haircuts, hair braiding and a wellness clinic that will offer Covid-19 test/vaccines and glucose/blood pressure checks. All this on top of our regular good eats, great music (Tiempo Libre will be headlining) and popular roller rink in the dark. And of course, everything is free! Hope to see you there.

Father's Day BELOVED last Sunday was beautiful! It was dedicated to all the Dads out there and was given goody bags, special treats, and prizes! We are looking forward to the Oakland Roots & Soul inaugural Futsal Cup tomorrow night @ Town Nights San Antonio Park! Registration starts at 5pm. Youth ages 14-18 years old are welcome to play and there will be prizes for the winning teams. Thank you to Roots & Soul and the Department of Violence Prevention for making this happen. Our last Trybe Tots Playgroup at the San Antonio Park was so memorable! Lots of families stopped by for one last time. Everyone was able to make a cheerio jewelry, ate food, grabbed a free backpack, participated in Circle Time, grabbed lots of donated clothes, and parents were able to go home with groceries! Thank you to parents of the community and everyone! We hope to see the beautiful faces again when the playgroups are happening again! We'll update everybody when that happens!

Town Nights is coming back to San Antonio Park THIS Friday, June 14th. The night will be packed with talent, family fun, and lots of good food, all for free! Members from Oakland High Jazz Band will be starting off the night at 5pm. Then Oakland Roots/Soul will kicking off their inaugural futsal cup in our newly finished courts. Performers include Oakland's very own Damond Moodie and Dos Four. When the sun goes down, join your neighbors at the roller rink in the dark and for a summer night movie. Hope to see you there!
Much appreciation to the San Antonio neighbors, volunteers, school networks, and partners for making this Appointment Shopping sucessful! We are grateful being able to help families pick up food, basic necessities, & help with resources. We'll be here next Friday!

San Antonio Park Oakland Trybe Tots Time are filled with so much activities for your kids to participate in! There's big connect 4, arts and crafts, live readings of a book, co****le, and more. There'll be healthy and nutritious food and snacks provided for the kids along with cold juices or water! Our playgroup welcomes drop ins every Tuesday starting @10:30 AM at the tennis courts. Come and hang out with local parents!

So many precious smiles that we witnessed on Tuesday Trybe Tots Playgroup! BEAUTIFUL. Lovely smiles on the parents faces AND their kids faces having so much fun together! Nutritious and healthy meals and snacks provided for both the parents and kids! Parents and Tots, we're here every Tuesday from 10:30a-11:30p. Games, crafts, reading, parent support, and more.
