Founded on a food first philosophy, Epic Bites is all about making your event a memorable one. There's no reason you cant have great food at every party. If we can't do it right, we just wont do it.
Snacks to convince folks to donate their kidneys through Renewal, rather than selling them on eBay.
Had the great fortune to cater for last night at the Fairmont in SF. The team making things run at the Fairmont was amazing.
Along with the grazing table we did a large variety of that were anything but the usual. Just to make a few: Potatoes with chilies, herbs, garlic confit and preserved lemon. Watermelon with mint, fennel, olives, balsamic and feta. Cannellini beans with dill, radicchio, kumquats, and pomegranate. Beets, lentils, and heirloom citrus.
Ever since we did the back in November I’ve been itching for any excuse to do another one. The 30th b-day celebration seemed like a great chance. I’m a big fan if good crudités, not just limp celery and baby carrots, but getting little gems, fresh pole beans, and whatever else the farmers market may have.
It’s been a bit since we’ve catered a dairy event, I think this is the first time we’ve whipped out the grilled cheese machine since the pandemic!
Beef shakshuka with preserved lemon and parsley gremolata.
Still recovering from this 3 day executive retreat we just catered. This client really wanted show stopping food and everyone could not believe it was kosher. This is the best compliment.
I’ve spent most of my life eating really bad bean salads at kiddush and beyond. A good bean salad is so satisfying. Cannellini beans with preserved lemon, radicchio, pomegranate seeds, garlic co for, maple and tons of olive oil.
It doesn’t look like much, but two of my favorite cooks came in yesterday and prepared their family mole recipe for me. It was a very long process and they told me how their town had a communal blender and a giant communal pot. Most surprising thing was how many chilies and how little chocolate goes into enough for 200 lbs of chicken.

We’ve been toying with aged steaks for a while, this beauty has been going since early July. The taste is amazing.
September 18th taco popup at covenant
Late summer is the absolute best time of year for chefs in Northern California. The tomatoes, beans, corn, and stone fruit are bursting with flavor. Then suddenly there’s figs and pomegranates at the market too! Do t worry, there was duck and lamb to go with the veggies.
Happening at seudat shlish*t aka shaloshudos (tough for my roots being in a community that uses the tet and not a tes)

We love parties. Especially, parties in such lovely backyards with such lovely people who love epic food.
Summer!!!
Cauliflower and waffles was such a big hit at a party we catered last night that I’m thinking of getting another waffle machine so we can do it at meat events. We love convincing people to veer away from the traditional sit down dinner and have some fun.
While we are not offering a Passover menu this year, our friends over at Dina's Kosher Catering are and if you use Discount Code "Heshy" you and I will be rewarded.

Just because we don’t post much on social media, doesn’t mean we aren’t rocking out in catering land. Any client that wants a is put on the favorites list. Thanks to and for making the decor so epic.
It’s been a while since we’ve catered an event in wine country and I’m glad we got to do it at Mayacamas Vineyards because it is definitely one of the nicest places in wine country. Just the drive is epic, plus the staff there are very accommodating and incredibly efficient.
One of my most favorite desserts happens to be vegan and gluten free. Chocolate dipped candied cara cara oranges.
We catered a wedding at the beautiful in Saratoga yesterday. Not only is the venue beautiful, but they are incredibly accommodating and easy to work with.
Wishing you a sweet, happy, and healthy New Year
Thank you for all of your support and help this past year.
We catered a real life wedding on Sunday and even though are an Instagram dream, I was just too darn busy to get many shots. Day started at 5am and went until midnight.
I’ve yet to taste a whitefish salad as good as ours, it’s not that hard, but most folks (even those claiming it’s homemade) don’t even try to doctor it up a bit. It can’t be that everyone just likes plain old Mayo mixed with smoked fish.
On this day in 2017 we catered our first of many wine country weddings. I don’t miss catering weddings, but wouldn’t mind having a popup tasting dinner that looks like this after smoke season.
Catered our first real party since March 2020 and it was a fun time.

Our latest news
We've begun to cater full service events again and so while we absolutely loved being invited into your homes through our Shabbat Menu we will be scaling them back somewhat. Fear not, we will definitely be doing takeout menus occasionally. It's been a wild ride for us and covid has drastically changed the food industry. We hope that you enjoyed our food and will think of us when it comes to your weddings, fundraisers, cocktail parties and b'nai mitzvot.
Thank you for all your support and we look forward to doing business with you.
