I LOVE THIS ANALOGY:
You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere.
Why did you spill the coffee?
"Because someone bumped into me!!!"
Wrong answer.
You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup.
Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea.
Whatever is inside the cup is what will spill out.
Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It's easy to fake it, until you get rattled.
So we have to ask ourselves... “what's in my cup?"
When life gets tough, what spills over?
Joy, gratitude, peace and humility?
Anger, bitterness, victim mentality and quitting tendencies?
Life provides the cup, YOU choose how to fill it.
Today let's work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation, resilience, positivity; and kindness, gentleness and love for other.

This photograph is believed to be a picture of Jesus. A lady took the picture from an airplane window during an intense electrical storm. The plane started shaking violently and people started screaming, thinking the plane might go down. The lady and her friend decided to pray, saying “Jesus, you calmed a storm 2000 years ago, do it again for us today.” Within 2 minutes, the plane leveled off, and the Holy Spirit told her to press her camera against the window of the plane and take a picture. She was unprepared for what she would see next.

She took the film to get developed, but when her pictures were ready, the man who developed the film said, “Where did you get this photograph?” She said that she took it from her airplane window during an electrical storm. He showed her the picture and there was a man in a white robe standing in the middle of the photograph, in the middle of the storm. She was in shock. The man who developed the picture and his whole family decided to give their lives to Jesus Christ that afternoon, after seeing what they believed was solid evidence that Jesus Christ was real.

Jesus IS real, and he is with you in the middle of any storm you might be facing right now. He’s with you. He loves you. He has a good plan and purpose for your life! The best decision you can ever make is when you invite Jesus to come into your life. If you’ve never invited Jesus into your life, pray with me… Dear Jesus, come into my life. Forgive me of my sins. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and your love. I believe you died for my sins and rose again so I could be in Heaven with you someday. Thank you for making me a part of your family. In Jesus’ name I pray…

10 THINGS TO START DOING IN 2023

1. PRACTICE GRATITUDE - Cultivate the attitude of gratitude. "Life is full of give and take. Give thanks and take nothing for granted."

2. REMEMBER SELF-COMPASSION - Be kind to yourself and your perfect imperfections. We don’t have to be perfect to be great!

"Stop for a minute, breathe and be proud of yourself for how far you’ve come."

3. FOCUS - Do you know what you want to be, have or create in life? Make a list of these items and say no to anything else. Become laser- focused!

4. PLAN - Knowing what we want is super important, but just dreaming is not enough.

5. THE LITTLE THINGS - We become what we repeatedly do. When we want to improve anything in our life, we need to look into improving our little daily habits, things we do every day that make us ourselves. It's all about the little improvements and the little victories. It's all about the little things. They are the jigsaw puzzles of the big picture of life.

6. BECOME A STUDENT OF LIFE - Learn from every painful experience. They are all just lessons. Wisdom comes from discovering the lessons and finding ways to feel grateful for everything that happened.

7. MAKE TIME TO REST - Allow yourself to rest and recharge your batteries. Nobody runs on “Duracell”. We all need time to push hard and time to just chill.

8. TRUST THE TIMING OF YOUR LIFE - Your timing is always perfect for YOU. You are exactly where you are supposed to be. Take a deep breath and continue building the life of your dreams.

9. BECOME UNSTOPPABLE - Nothing can stop the “Whatever it takes” attitude. “Confidence is deciding that you're unstoppable – not that you'll never fail.”

10. SHARE YOUR SUCCESSES - “There is no delight in owning anything unshared.” - Seneca
