Happy National Play Outside Day!
All year long, we are given numerous opportunities to get outside and play. But sometimes, life, responsibilities, and distractions keep us from spending time in the fresh air as we should. National Play Outside Day is a reminder to stretch our legs and expend some energy in the great outdoors.

Meet Jonathan Brokaw. Jonathan is VP of Commercial Service and Special Projects at Nash Plumbing & mechanical. Jonathan has served as a Director for the Boys & Girls Club Board of Directors since 2022 and we are so grateful for his service. As a Florida native, when Jonathan is not working he enjoys spending his time on boating or fishing.

Happy 2nd work anniversary to Jordan. Jordan is a Program Specialist at our Silver Springs Shores Club.

A huge thank you to CJ Ashley Miller Olivia Fuller and Miller and Sons Plumbing, Inc! They saw our wish list and went shopping. They donated several hygiene items, prepackaged snacks and more items from our wish list- all for our members! 💙

This week our Members celebrated the United States in their summer travels around the world.
activities included making junk rocket ships, concentration circle, tissue paper flags and cooking macaroni and cheese.

Reading Club encourages members to read to each other daily. Reading aloud not only improves language skills but also strengthens social connections and fosters a sense of community. This program is partially funded by a grant from the United Way of Marion County.

The theme for our summer program is "Around the World". Each week, we will focus on a new country and delve into its history, cuisine, and customs. Our aim is to broaden our horizons and gain a deeper understanding of the world around us.

This week, we traveled to Australia. We learned interesting facts about Australia, created Aboriginal Dot Art, baked up batches of Fairy Bread Cake and built spiderwebs from foam cups and yarn.
