This past Thursday we had a theme of "Money makes the wold go round" by Steve Vaughn. Our speakers were fabulous (Poornima and Lisa) and both finished Level one in their pathways.

You should have been there!!

We will not meet next Thursday as it is Independence Day.

We had two wonderful speakers today - Poornima and Shawn. We also had Dale as our Toastmaster of the Day with the Olympic Swimming Trials as the theme.

We had a great meeting on Thursday at the Library! Lisa gave her Icebreaker and Daun taught us about the 12 notes that comprise all music: from Beethoven to Buffet!

We also learned about avocados!

We had a fun meeting on Thursday with Loy as the Toastmaster of the day. Shawn gave a speech called "Shoot your Shot" regarding risk taking. A fun time had by all!

You missed a great meeting yesterday at the Library. Our theme was Competition and Conferences.

Poornima had fun with words in Table Topics all starting with the letter "C". Robert's word was "Clone" and he could have gone on about that forever, but he kept his answer under 2 min!!

We had a fun and productive meeting yesterday at the Enterprise Center! Julie led the meeting with her theme of Pig Latin, and Loy was our General Evaluator!

We also held our General election for the new TM year (2023-2024). Julie was elected as our new President!! Congratulations to our new officers!

We had quite the fun meeting today. Loy was our Toastmaster of the Day and Robert was our Table Topics Master.

We heard from Julie and Michele and had a few guests to join in the fun.

We had a fun and informative meeting yesterday at the Enterprise Center. Cira was our Toastmaster of the Day and Steve spoke on Emotional Intelligence. We had a few new members take on new functionary roles: J.J. was our Timer and Julie was our Ah/Um counter.

You should have been there!! Tatyana led a wonderful Table Topics session, as well!!!

Former Ocala Noon member Dr Judy Haisten.

Dr. Judy Haisten, CF senior professor of foreign language, will sign her new book, "The Pirates of Panama, From Sir Francis Drake to Admiral Edward Vernon," on Monday, April 10, at 12:30 p.m. in Building 8, Room 110 on the Ocala Campus.

Her collection of compelling stories of significant pirate raids in the country of Panama is drawn from archival sources, rare books and acclaimed scholars.

Dr. Haisten was raised in the Canal Zone, Panama, where her family lived for more than 25 years. She began teaching at CF in 1994.
