Urgent request for help
we lost power during Hurricane Irma, and we have no idea how soon it will be restored. We are asking our members who have power and who have freezers to give us a helping hand. We have lots of food in our walk-in freezer that needs to be transferred immediately so it does not thaw out or go bad. if you can help, please let Jayme Nichols know. 352 427-2089, and he will meet you at the lodge.
And if anyone has a large generator that we could use to operate the lodge, it would be a godsend. Please let us know if you can help. Thank you for supporting your a Moose Lodge. Moose proud!

Call for help!
Our Lodge is going non smoking on September 1st, and we are going to paint the walls and ceiling on Sunday, September 10th, to freshen up the Social Quarters and the room outside the kitchen. This will help remove the smoke smell from the Lodge. A professional painter has volunteered to spray paint the rooms!
On Saturday the 9th, we need as many volunteers as possible to help wash walls and tape around non painted areas. On Sunday the 10th, we need volunteers to help move furniture and heavy objects out so the painters can spray behind them, spread drop cloths, and other tasks. A sign up sheet will be posted in the Social Quarters.
Please set aside some time, and help us improve our lodge!
Thanks in advance! Moose Proud :)

Ocala WOTM Chapter 1142
You have probably noticed we have a new kitchen manager! Nancy Monseglio has taken over for Sylvia Nell. Sylvia and Bob, our former administrator, both stepped down so they could travel and see the country!
Nancy comes to us from Astor, and brings decades of restaurant experience to the Lodge. For almost twenty years, she was manager at Sterling's Restaurant (now under new owners and renamed Castaway's). Prior to this, she worked at the famous Blackwater Inn and other restaurants in Volusia County, and she's an experienced caterer. . And, she's not the first member of her family to prepare great meals for the Lodge. Her brother, Don Guess, was our cook about 20 years ago!
Nancy and her husband Rick recently celebrated their 25th anniversary with a family cruise.
In addition to her restaurant experience, Nancy is also a travel agent, and a licensed cosmetologist. She has two children, son Billy and daughter Brandy, and several grandchildren.
If you haven't met Nancy, please take a moment to introduce yourself. And come for dinner! She's in the kitchen Wednesday through Friday nights, cooking our long time menu items and some new additions, and nightly specials!
Ocala WOTM Chapter 1142
This is what you're missing for dinner tonight at the Lodge. Chef Nancy is serving up a delicious Chicken Parnesean dinner, with a side of spaghetti and a toss saladl And you can also order a spaghetti dinner, or anything off our full menu!
Please come out and enjoy great meals like this at low prices, and support our lodge!

A very heartfelt message from Lee Ann Noel :)
I want to send out a special heart-felt thanks to all who attended my benefit on Sun April 2. What an amazing day....filled with love and support. The wonderful musicians who gave their time and provided great entertainment. All the moose members and volunteers who came together and helped to pull this off. Special thanks to Rick Brooks (BIG RED) and
Randy Stanley! There are so many folks...I can't list them all. Just know that you all have made me so happy and proud. I've been a moose member for many years and the small annual membership fee is well worth the price! If you are not a member...please consider joining. It's a great organization and I'm living proof that they do come together to help folks. For an evening out with good food, a few drinks and some awesome music & dancing...you can't beat it! More thanks to those who donated gift baskets and numerous other items for auctioning.
I love you all and may God Bless each and every one of your lives.

Lee Ann Noel Cancer Benefit
Lee Ann posted an update on her condition today.
I am so blessed to have wonderful friends. Your friendship & prayers are helping me get through this. I am just over halfway done with radiation treatments. It has been brutal! My throat is so sore I can barely swallow water at times. Lots of mouth sores that are very painful.
Sensitive teeth, lost my sense of taste & smell after the first 5 treatments. Chronic radiation cough is annoying and it sounds horrible! Very low energy! But above all this I'm doing my best to hang tough! I will see you at the benefit but I'm not sure what shape I'll be in. God Bless you all....
