While the witch goes to buy meat, you must search the town to secure the rest of the ingredients, and hopefully restore the spirit of Winter Week. Unfortunately, when you return to the witch’s house, a problem with her magical cauldron threatens to derail the whole celebration! Codenames is a long time favorite party game everyone will love. Team up to become rival spymasters. Contact all your agents in time, before it's too late. Join us and learn how to play.

What's it about?
Two rival spymasters know the secret identities of 25 agents. Their teammates know the agents only by their Codenames. To win the game, your team will need to contact all of your agents in the field before the other team finds their own agents. And watch out for the assassin – meet him in the field and your team is done! Codenames is simple to explain and easy to understand, with no limit to size of the teams – you can play with as few as four people or as many as can see the cards (and agree on the next one!).

Lands of Faerun, a casual D&D 5e campaign, will continue on Dec 10th, hosted by Kenny.

This campaign is open to experienced and new players. Unlike the one-shot sessions this will be part of a continuing story arc and while anyone is welcome to join for even a single session the most immersive experience would be through planning on joining for a series of sessions to get a real progression of your character.

If you are new to D&D, you do not need to bring anything (we'll supply what you need to get started). If you are new, you may want to arrive 30 minutes early to get one-on-one help with Kenny to get a brief introduction and your character created.

Meeple Movers has additional resources to make the most of your experience including dice (ask at the store).

It's today -Join Amanda and J as they teach another cooperative game (meaning you're all working together for a common goal). The seventh in this series of co-op games is The Lord of the Rings Card Game, a cooperative fantasy adventure game.

What's it about? An ancient evil stirs in the black lands of Mordor, and the people of Middle-earth speak of a terrible doom approaching from the east. The Dark Lord Sauron is gathering his forces, and should he acquire the power he seeks, he will cast the world into eternal shadow. The only hope lies in a heroic few who must work together to stem the tide of evil. Select your heroes, gather allies, acquire artifacts, and work together with your friends to survive Middle-earth’s most dangerous fiends. By cooperating to overcome the obstacles drawn from the encounter deck, you will complete the quest before you and claim victory.

We'll be able to have up to 8 players. Amanda and J are great teachers and will have you enjoying yourself in no time. This is a medium-weight game so expect 2-3 hours of teaching and game play.

Tomorrow - on December 2nd we're having a friendly competition to crown a Splendor Champion. There's still time to register! The reigning champ will be crowned Splendor Champion and prizes will be awarded throughout the event (there's a 🏆 trophy ya'll). Don't let the competition scare you - it's all about the fun!

Time frame: 12pm - 5pm is practice time. Come in and hone your skills or learn to play. Competition is from 6pm - 8pm.

During the month of November, we're also teaming up with local non-profit, Interfaith Emergency Services, for a food drive. We'll collect non-perishables all month long at the store.

What's it about?
In Splendor, you lead a merchant guild during the Renaissance. Using tokens representing gemstones, you will acquire developments (cards) which produce new gems (bonuses). These bonuses reduce the cost of your purchases and attract noble bosses. Splendor is easy to learn and plays in about half an hour.

Have you played Cartographers yet? We recently got a restock of this highly fun flip-and-write game that we'd love to share with you. Join us and learn how to play.

What's it about? Queen Gimnax has ordered the reclamation of northern lands. As a cartographer in her service, you are sent to map this territory, claiming it for the Kingdom of Nalos. But you are not alone in this wilderness. The Dragul contest your claims with their outposts, so proceed with caution. Reclaim the greatest share of the Queen's desired land and you will be declared the greatest cartographer in Nalos.

In Cartographers, players compete to get the highest reputation at the end of four seasons. Each season, players draw on their map sheet and score against unique conditions at the end of the season. The player with the highest reputation at the end of the year is declared the winner!

New to gaming? Don't worry, we're a friendly bunch and we'll have you relaxing with new friends and fun games in no time. The Meeple Crew is available to get you started by recommending and teaching games.

Due to us being a registered food establishment, please do not bring outside food or drinks. We have sodas (craft and common), tea (hot and cold), water (sparkling and flat), and coffee (leaded and unleaded) available. And we have a great selection of beer, cider and wine. You'll also find a menu of cafe items from chicken nuggets to pizza.

Please note, there is a $5 (plus tax) per person charge to play, but you'll have access to a clean play space, a great game library of hundreds of games, and a fun evening! Memberships are available for flat-rate gaming - ask Jon at the event.

Don't forget - during the month of November, we're also teaming up with local non-profit, Interfaith Emergency Services, for a food drive. We'll collect non-perishables all month long at the store.
