Looking to do something creative, weird, and super fun that won’t eat up too much of your free time but will give you something to look forward to? Do you frequently lament the lack of improv, sketch comedy, and space for comedy writers to flesh out their ideas and unleash their hilarious demons upon Marion County?

Well, we just had a very exciting conversation about this community’s need for all things improv, sketch comedy, and original writing! Our plan is to open that conversation to anyone interested in the form of a general meet-and-greet/info session on the 17th of November at 6:30PM! Location TBD (very very soon). DO NOT BE ALARMED: THIS IS NOT AN AUDITION. YOU WILL NOT BE EXPECTED TO DO A COLD READING OF HAMLET OR SING ANY BARS.

Although if you join us in our effort to bring improv back to Ocala, you may very well find yourself singing a song about poisoning your treacherous uncle that you just made up on the fly. Possibly in a bar.

The Insomniacs had a marvelous time at Ocala Pride Fest!! Thanks so much for having us and letting us do the Time Warp!! It was a lovely event with great vendors, wonderful entertainers, beautiful families and nice weather. Since all the Insomniacs present were up and doing the time warp, we forgot to take pics and videos, so if anyone happened to get any photos or videos of us, please share and tag us in them! We’d love to see. And of course, get your tickets to see The Rocky Horror Picture Show live at The Marion Theatre, October 14th and 15th! We want to give a huge shoutout to veteran Insomniac Darian Mosley Wesolowski and long time friend, supporter, and honorary Insomniac Melissa Wiseman for their participation in the 7th Annual Corsets & Cuties Amateur Contest at Theatre West End in Sanford! Congratulations to Melissa (Celeste Moonshine) for tearing it up in her debut performance and a VERY special congrats to Darian (Aspasia Amore) for winning FIRST PLACE in the contest!!! We're looking forward to seeing how these two continue to grow and develop their skills in the art of the tease. Maybe...if we're lucky and ask REALLY NICELY...they'll bring their acts along with a few others to Ocala. What do y'all think?
