This photo was taken when OC Buddy & I lived on 11th Street. Buddy loved sitting on my chaise lounge and looking out over the streets of downtown Ocean City. He is my personal protector and so much more. I always smile when people try to question me about his service dog training and what he actually does for me!

Let me begin by saying my sweet boy has been by my side since he was 8 weeks old. He was the only one who never left my side after I came home from the hospital awaiting a liver transplant. I knew I would need a big dog to help me with my balance, be my protector and be my confidant. Many an evening he would lick the tears falling down my face as I cried out to God to heal me and my liver. As I did my part, God slowly began to heal my liver and help me make some of the hardest decisions in my life. When I came into a small inheritance I sent Buddy to K9 Heeling for their 4 week program. He graduated with honors and I was taught how to continue training him to meet my needs. He sometimes gets excited by squirrels, seagulls and foxes but he listens to my commands and obeys. One of the things I never wanted to do is break his spirit that he possesses through a rigid training session. I want his sweetness to always be a part of who he is. Some people seem to think if you call your dog a service dog he should be like a police dog! That’s so untrue. Police dogs are trained specifically to protect and serve their partner. My boy was professionally trained by Mitch, the owner of K9 Heeling and the rest of his training is up to me for the rest of our years together. He may be a little nervous around loud noises like bike week and Oceans calling, but he knows his job is to take care of me and be my confidant. And I wouldn’t have it any other way!!!

Delmarvalous Dawn reporting from downtown Ocean City. Droves of people walking across the 50 Bridge and filling the crosswalks and sidewalks. Cars parked everywhere for Oceans Calling. I can hear the music from 15 blocks away. Be safe out there y’all!

Beautiful day even though it’s raining…
My friends Linda and Dana and I had delicious steamed crabs at The Shrimp Boat.

Then we drove to Assateague to see the wildlife. Assateague is my happy place, I absolutely love it there.

I love this photo of Buddy & I which we have on both sides of our car. I was side swiped in parking lot and my passenger side had scratches on both doors. Body shop wanted to charge me $2500. One day I saw a truck with colorful advertising on it. I asked the owner where he had it done and he told me Ad Art in Georgetown Delaware. I got an estimate from Ad Art of $900! Needless to say I decided to do a “wrap” to cover the scratches and advertise OC Buddy & Delmarvalous Dawn at same time! If you see us about in and around in Delmarva be sure to say hello 👋.

Taken three years ago on our trip to Spruce Pine, North Carolina. My daddy grew up there and his grave is there. It brings me comfort to visit his birth place and his final resting place.

OC Buddy wants to thank his Aunt Linda for the new turtle toy and matching ball. He absolutely loves it ♥️ Thank you so much for making my big boy happy.

It was taken during our stay in WV as we settled Mama’s estate after she passed. OC Buddy was long overdue a haircut.

This morning on our walk OC Buddy & I placed a wooden cross next to red ribbons/teddy bears for Tyler 🙏 as a reminder to pray.
