So many wonderful wines to pair with your Thanksgiving celebration. Belle Glos Pinot Noir is one of our favorite offerings in the shop. Pinot Noir, as a varietal is great pick for classic Thanksgiving dishes with simple spicing (salt + pepper) or cream based dishes like creamy mashed potatoes or casserole. Pinot works well with both dark and white meat turkey and to accentuate cranberry-like flavors.

If Chardonnay is more your go-to, this is one meal where we suggest a lighter, less-oaky style. Decoy Wines Chardonnay has all the lovely Fuji apple notes layered with baking spices, and hints of vanilla.

Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais is actually a great wine for Thanksgiving, though it is probably more often than not chosen because of the brilliant marketing of the Beaujolais Nouveau. Released with much fanfare the third Thursday of each November, Beaujolais Nouveau is billed as the first wine of the year, (though that distinction no doubt lies with the folks in the southern hemisphere, who harvested in February.) Beaujolais Nouveau can be a fun wine; low in tannins, grapey and easy to drink. It is a nice choice for Thanksgiving.

This delicious mound of Jasper Hill Farm Harbison just arrived fresh from Vermont.
Harbison was awarded the Super Gold and #1 Cheese in the USA at the World Cheese Awards in Norway out of 4,502 entries! Harbison is a super creamy cow’s milk cheese wrapped in spruce bark. Slice off the top and dip into a taste of heaven.
