The meditation called The Work
is where we question those
“no-thing things.”

No-things have names like thoughts,
ideas, concepts, beliefs.

Beliefs is a word that points out how
we attach to these no-things, or believe them.

But it’s possible to un-believe.
You do this by questioning.
Effectively questioning a belief is like
moving back to where you started
before you had the belief.

You get a second chance to see that
it was no-thing at all.

And when your problem dissolves, it can be amazing. Your problem screams to you from the mountaintop, “I’m gonna go, now. Life is beautiful. Better than imagined! Good-bye!”

“Thanks for everything,” you say, waving goodbye from below. And you mean it, it’s authentic. You’ve surprised yourself now, because you even miss the problem when it goes. For you understand it was Love itself.

If you ever wonder, “When am I going to have that big breakthrough? I’ve been patient. I’ve been good. When do I break through?” Remember that the one asking the question is the most precious one in the world.

You are your answer, Loved Ones.

ACCUMULATING IS FUN. We get to, you know, dream about even more stuff.

But eventually perspective floods in: accumulation is something never to be caught up with. As soon as you think you have it, another thought will come. And there goes the accumulation. P**f. Did you hear it?

And have you noticed? That Mind automatically says yes to money? We answer “Would you like more money?” with a quick ‘yes.’ “Do you like money?” Another ‘yes.’ “Could you use a little more money?” That’s easy—‘Yes.’

Yes, yes, yes. But are you sure? Are you afraid to ask ‘Are you sure?

If there is more space to contemplate and reflect and consider, then we start to become more intimate with money. We come to know and love the trickster. For the trickster is only our story about it.

How to find meaning through The Work?
Well, The Work isn’t necessarily:

—something to think about….
—something to talk about…
—something to take action about….

The Work strips everything away from you. It asks you, “Would you be willing to think less? Talk less? Do less? Let go of urgency? Even let go of meaning?”

“Um, really? Let go of meaning? Whoa.” We say. “Not sure about that…”

But contemplating the question gives us meaning. This is how The Work strips things away. When everything is stripped away, all that’s left is you. How’s that for meaning?

MY FEARS ABOUT LIFE MATTER

I began to contemplate this more and more. How was that true? What exactly did that mean to me? How did I connect with that?

Then it came to me.

I thought, “What if what I do and what I say takes care of itself? This is how “my life” doesn’t matter—things take care of things that take care of things.

Meanwhile, my fears are what become Love, fears are a doorway…

In the end, my fears were what really mattered—knowing them, being with them, loving them. They were the game changers when brought into the light. My fears about life mattered! How’s that for acceptance?

And so I thank awareness of these unpopular turnarounds such as “My life doesn’t matter.” In the end, it’s a thought, a perspective, a simple contemplation. We don’t have to be afraid of it.

I’m having a walk on a lovely night in Spain.

Sometimes it’s not just a walk because I find myself looking for love and acceptance.

I’m looking to please someone, anyone. I even feel pressure inside.

I become disappointed that I have pressure during my walk.
