There has been fairly recent leasing activity along the NE/SW trend that has been worked by Blackbeard over last 5 years.

Blackbeard acquired assets from Bravo Arkoma who filed many multi-unit horizontals in this area around 2015.

Our other Permit is a TNT Operating SWD just south of downtown OKC in 22-11N-03W-IM. Looks like maybe a replacement to a well drilled in the '30's?

Oxley Energy has permitted the first well in Pittsburg's 5-04N-15E-IM since Tommy made its Broadway debut.

Oxley drilling the 4th Atoka well in that section, where they picked up assets from SEBEP back in 2018.

The Ox is registered in and has assets across Oklahoma but also appears to have a Houston address.

A rare appearance by Yarhola Production in RECON today! Phil Osterhout's company is developing a funky tract in Creek's 36-18N-06E-IM.

They are trying to space an irregular plot that has never been spaced just west of what we assume has historically been a fault boundary to production to the east.

They have now been awarded a Location Exception to re-enter an existing well.

Okland going where no one has gone before with an irregular 160-acre Spacing to target a local structural feature in 03/04-04N-07E-IM in Pontotoc.

No existing production in this unit nor active wells nor recent Permits.

This play is just SE of Francis, Oklahoma and conveniently located along a CenterPoint pipeline.

And perhaps most important, about 3.5 miles north of Happyland.

Citizen planning another fan of long laterals in Grady, this time in 10-09N-05W-IM. They look to drill north from there up through Section 34 (check out our new Permit BHL sticks!)

We don't see any Wood/Miss Spacings in those sections from Citizen, assume they are utilizing existing ones from e.g. Linn and Roan.

The last approved new drill permit in this section was in mid-1986, when Ferris was taking the day off.

First time drilling Permit from OSO Resources, congratulations! OSO is drilling an Oswego horizontal from 36-18N-03W-IM in Logan county.

This well is between other Oswego production in an area where OSO has picked up wells earlier this year.

Not sure if the OSO guys like going to OSO Paseo for lunch or whether they just like bears, but maybe we should call ourselves osoberg?

Mewbourne RECON'd today in Ellis county in 16-19N-25W-IM and 21-19N-25W-IM for a 1280 acre Cherokee Spacing.

Looks like a future well will be parallel to another Cherokee completion of theirs just to the east and north.

Based on activity stats, it could be at least 6-7 months before we see a new completion here (there is another Cherokee Mewbourne Permit ~3 miles NW)

Wow, Continental going longer and deeper (measured total depth of 30,341') than Everest is high with the planned RCL 2-19-30-31XHW starting in 13-03N-05W-IM in Grady.

This lateral will stretch all the way down along the county line border into Garvin at 31-03N-04W-IM.

Way to keep pushing the bit, CLR!

We love "first permits"! Today one (two actually but only one can be the first) from Trailhead Exploration in Love's 05-08S-03E-IM.

Trailhead is proposing north ("The Outlaw") and south ("The Ranger") Sylvan/Wood/Miss laterals just east of another Permit ("The Judge").

Trailhead has held substantial acreage in this area since 2019.

RECON noticed 4 XTO permits in Carter's 06-04S-03E, previously drilled and filed as Completions in 2019.

The remarks for all four mention “completion delayed due to market condition”.

So while being permitted now as Recompletions, we assume they are being “completed” for the first time.

Oseberg clients will notice new standard “well symbology” on the map! This is part of a new “OK Wells” dataset that is coming soon to an Atla near you!
