❝A core member of, IMO the hands-down best family of bourbons, W.L. Weller, Antique 107 is my go-to for building cocktails or serving straight. It is strong enough to stand up to bold flavors found in bitters or to shine in a Last Word build. Like all Weller, it is a wheated bourbon, which denotes the absence of rye in the mash bill and the addition of wheat. At the lowest common denominator, this makes the bourbon sweeter than spicy. Add to that the slight overproof at 107 and you get a very full and pronounced profile. Subtly sweet with vanilla undertone and a touch of cinnamon on the back end. Stir it. Strain it. Serve it!❞
